The North Rowan High School teacher who told students it’s criminal to speak ill of the president will keep her job with the Rowan-Salisbury School System.
Although Tanya Dixon-Neely has been suspended without pay, she will return next school year, when she will be required to start a monitored growth plan, Superintendent Dr. Judy Grissom said in a press release.
The district received national attention when a nearly 10-minute video of Dixon-Neely and senior Hunter Rogers engaging in a heated political debate went viral. In the video, the Dixon-Neely can be heard telling Rogers that he could be criminally charged for speaking ill of President Obama and that people had been charged for insulting former President George W. Bush.
“As I have stated to our entire school system staff, I expect all teachers to be professional during class discussion and not to force their personal or political views on students, demean students, or instruct students on what to believe,” Grissom said in the release. “Teachers must create a positive instructional environment conducive to learning within the guidelines of our state curriculum.
“Ms. Dixon-Neely’s failure to meet these standards during the recorded portion of class is the basis for my disciplinary action against her.”
But Grissom said school administrators report the recording does not reflect Dixon-Neely’s usual performance as a teacher. She received two formal classroom observations before the recording in May, both positive.

Before taking on a role in the regular classroom setting, Dixon-Neely had been assigned as a teacher in the district’s Alternative to Suspension program, which relocated to North Rowan last fall. During the second semester, she was transferred to a regular classroom due to staffing needs, Grissom said.
It appears even the school thugs know this woman was not qualified even to teach the most basic courses - she was basically as a guard or corrections officer over a cafeteria full of students who should have been suspended before they allowed her to go into a real classroom.

Well I swapped emails with ol’ Judy here (the Sup). Thanked her for, yet again, helping to embarrass the living hell out of my State; pointed out that anyone with two brain cells to rub together knew this idiot should be nowhere NEAR a classroom.
It is very difficult to follow the audio on the video below, because Dixon-Neely runs a very disorderly classroom, in which everyone talks and laughs among themselves, while she is speaking. That includes the student whom she harasses on the tape, and his friend, Steven Sanchez, who is doing the taping. The dissenter has the right to his opinion, but he, his friend, and other students have no business making so much noise during class. However, Dixon-Neely clearly does not consider this disruptive, but rather normal behavior.
Aside from being a moron who cannot speak proper, intelligible English, and a bully, Dixon-Neely is an incompetent who tolerates cursing in her classroom, and who herself curses!
I’m guessing it’s a flowery way of saying remedial education for educators.

The "positive" ratings that she received are objective at best.

Having been taught in the NC public school system, I can honestly tell you I have had at least 10 of her clones thoughout my education.
I was never taught anything past the Civil War. My history teachers, mostly black, stopped right there. I can tell you everything about the Underground RR, slavery and Harriet Tubman. Anything beyond that was what I had to learn on my own or in college.
The saddest case was Mademoiselle ‘M’- the ebonics speaking French teacher. Or maybe it was Mrs. ‘X’, my math teacher, who ‘took her break’ during our math class every day, leaving with her thermos, bound for the teacher’s lounge for her ‘hour long break’ that she took twice a day.
Chances the "objective observer" might actually disagree with her -- about as close to zero as you can possibly get.
It would be interesting, but I am sure disappointing, to see how many parents realize this school, and most other public schools are dangerous to their child’s mind and immediately pull their kids out, home school them, send them to private schools, or form a new Charter school.
It is child abuse to send you kids to public school filled to the brim with communist union teachers and certainly teachers who’s only criteria for their support of someone is skin color.

I disagree.
He suffered through her tirades previously and it was time this “teacher” was called-out for her inability to maintain order in a classroom and her tyrannical indoctrination of students.
The kid was pushing back and standing his ground.
The “teacher” could not handle the classroom and certainly could not handle principled disagreement.
The alternative was to have the classroom just sit and suffer, perhaps complaining to the administration or parents, but in that case, it is certain nothing would have been done to stop the insane “teacher.”
If he did not act she would still be in the classroom ranting and bullying, acting the complete fool and spewing unintelligent completely wrong information.
I view the actions of the kid as doing what needed to be done—instead of just sitting there like sheeple he brought attention to an abusive situation in the classroom and proving, yet again, the idiocy of leftists.
The kid is indeed a champion of conservative values.
