Gowdy says, (para) “the defense of ‘but others are doing it’ ended at about age eleven in my house.”

I had to step out, this is the fourth vote on something or other, “the Gowdy amendment”?

Think it’s the last ammendment. Voice vote passed...on record vote requested.

Should be ready to vote on contempt

Was watching some Fox News coverage. Juan Williams and Chris Wallace are calling this “politics”.

Van Jones was right. If there were hundreds of dead bodies with black skin or white skin, Juan and Chris would have been correctly calling this a treasonous act of war. But with hundred of brown skin bodies, it’s just “politics”.

The media is acting with extreme prejudice towards the hundreds of brown skinned victims and their families. Shameful by even their low standards.

Neither the media nor the White House cares about Latin Americans...except to the extent that they feel they can motivate this group to vote Dem.

But I have spoken with some Mexicans, and they are really, really angry about Fast and Furious, and I’m not sure Obama will be saved even by his immigration gesture (which, frankly, would have happened sooner or later anyway under any president, but perhaps more democratically by means of law).

What right do they, as "journalists", have to decide that? This warrants an investigation -- I don't care if the administration is black, white or green. Why can't news reporters just be NEWS reporters. Why do they have to take sides. I am sick of it. Obama has been pushing the envelope for almost four years now. It's time he was called on it.

Question: How can they claim executive privilege? If neither the president nor Holder had any knowledge of F&F until it broke on the news, there should be nothing for them to claim executive privilege for.

I think that’s the question that Grassley is sending (as reported by Fox News a few minutes ago) via letter, to Obama tonight. Asking him to be specific as to how Obama finds the thousands of documents are covered by executive privilege.

I don’t expect Obama to answer. He’s not really a constitutional scholar, just pretended to be one at some liberal school in some liberal state way up north.

Well, if the racist Republican Bush was still in office, the Mexican presidente would be up in arms and screaming bloody murder.

Since it’s Barack the Democrat Magic Negro, no problemo.

¿Comprende?

Government employees do not take illegal actions without orders from above. Otherwise they would lose their jobs.

Not all the time. If memory serves me correctly, Nixon didn’t order the Watergate break in. He didn’t know about it. His sin was once he did know about it, he tried to cover it up. If he had canned those responsible for the break in right away, his Presidency would have survived.

Difference between the two is that Nixon had the grace to step down....0 is another story, we’ll be lucy to get him out with a legit election.

Nixon had the media against him, and Obama the opposite. That has a lot to do with whether a POTUS stays.

RE :”Nixon had the media against him, and Obama the opposite. That has a lot to do with whether a POTUS stays.”

Also Democrats prepare for battle. As soon as Republicans took over the House Dems started repeating over and over how Issa would conduct one which hunt after another, and how (worthless) McConnell's number 1 goal is to get Obama defeated. They work the public on how Republicans are shallowly political, while Obama gets on TV and gives the 'adult lecturing the kids' monologs playing the 'only adult in the room'.

You could tell listening to CSPAN the morning that the Dems, many on the Republican line, stuck carefully to the Dems talking points about the master plot. If you have a plan it's easy to feed the MSM stuff. The few Republicans that got through said things like “He must be guilty of something Duh”,

Dems plan for chess( many moves ahead) , Republicans think it's checkers.

Republicans got scared and turned on Nixon. Dems are rallying around Obama. That is one difference.

I’ve said this before upthread, the BROTHER OF THE AG OF MEXICO (Holder’s counterpart so to speak) WAS KILLED IN F&F. This is a bigger story in Mexican media than here, which is sad really.

This recent overstepping of constitutional bounds is not going to make up for what most Mexican-Americans know and hear from their relatives down there.
