Accused murderer George Zimmerman reenacted for cops how Trayvon Martin allegedly jumped him and reached for his gun, painting the unarmed Florida teen as the aggressor in the deadly encounter.
Zimmerman led Sanford police through every step of the infamous showdown, one day after he blew away Martin during a Feb. 26 shooting thats landed the neighborhood watch volunteer in jail, charged with murder, according to ABC News.
The dramatic blow-by-blow was made public today by defense lawyers, in the most detailed statement yet attributed to Zimmerman.
"He said 'Yo you got a problem?'" Zimmerman mimicked Martin to cops at the scene of the crime. "And I turned around and said 'Naw I don't have a problem man.'"
Zimmerman continued: "He said 'You got a problem now' ... and he punched me in the face."
The defendant claimed Martin gained the upper hand and start pummeling him mercilessly.
"My head was on the cement and he kept slamming it and slamming it," Zimmerman said.
"It felt like my head was going to explode and I felt I was going to lose consciousness."
That's when, Zimmerman claimed, Martin spotted the volunteer's gun.
"I feel like he saw it," Zimmerman said. "He looked at it and he said 'You're going to die tonight mother f--ker and he reached for it."
It was in that kill-or-be-killed moment, Zimmerman said, that he acted in self-defense.
"And I grabbed it and I just grabbed my firearm and shot him," the defendant told cops.

I hope Zimmerman gets off. If what he did was not self defense then nothing is.
This is not new. He’s been saying that since day one.
I already knew about this in May.
I already knew about this in May.
Correction: a lot of it, but definitely the title subject.
We are just getting a lot of this that we already have seen, but in a different context.
If this wasn't self-defense, nothing is.
Looks like the punk got it wrong. I would have done the same.
There seems to me that there will soon be a large train wreck coming to Florida! It might be pictured by imagining a head-on, full speed, between Yellowstone and BigBoy!
Buy lots of popcorn and beer!
None of this is new. Even the videos, which are “new” to the general public, have been known to the police and the prosecutors since February. All of the evidence supports Mr. Zimmerman’s claim of self-defense. There has never been any evidence to support arresting him or charging him with a crime.
Need I add, /sarc?
Interesting. I wonder what fingerprints and DNA showed on that gun???
No, the case was found in the grass and I believe it was under TM’s body.
The PF-9 wouldn’t hold either very well, but I believe only GZ could be shown to have touched the gun.
I totally love what you said and agree with it 100 percent. I am fed up that good people are getting railroaded in this case and the police chief should never have been fired. Zimmerman acted in self defense.
Not when it's a yute armed with a bag of Skittles.
Being followed in car and then on foot by a stranger with a gun can just as easily be perceived as a deadly threat. You know what perception is, don't you....it is the reason this entire affair happened in the first place.
A failure to eject in a semi-automatic can also be caused by having the barrel in contact with the target. This fits the up close and personal nature of the fight.
No, being followed by car and then on foot by a stranger can never be perceived as a deadly threat. There has to be more, something a reasonable person would believe indicates a deadly threat. Following doesn’t even come close.
Nice try sneaking the gun in your narrative but Zimmerman was carrying concealed and there is no evidence whatsoever that the gun was an issue prior to the scuffle. Furthermore there is plenty of evidence that the gun only became an issue after the fight exposed it.
Don't forget the still unopened can of watermelon drink???
So is someone bashing your head into the sidewalk to the point where you feel like you're about to lose consciousness.
If there were a campaign to destroy the case against Zimmerman, dripping out the exculpatory details one by one over months would be the way to do it. It’s like when the Democrats slime a GOP politician. It may just be caused by the Extra Special prosecutrix’s suppression of the facts to begin with. (Do angry cops just keep dropping these bombs?) The prosecution will fail, and Sanford is going to have a problem from every direction.
I agree....self defense
Are you sure that's all he had? I heard Al Sharpton say that Martin was armed with a skillet.
Gee, you left out the part about the gun...no surprise.
You only have GZ's word for when TM first saw the gun. And we know that GZ is a liar and a sneak...a liar and a sneak who has a violent history.
I understand though why you ignore these things.

Actually, Martin was the stranger acting suspiciously. Zimmerman is a resident and Neighborhood Watch volunteer with the duty to keep his eyes on strangers acting suspiciously and to call police, which he did. GZ has every right to get out of his vehicle and walk around in his own neighborhood, so that cannot be claimed as the sole reason that this tragedy happened. You know that many other decisions by TM would have resulted in a much better outcome. One would have been for him to act with some common sense and talk civilly to GZ about why GZ was following him.
But, even if TM felt threatened by GZ following him, that does not give him the right to start assaulting GZ. If TM felt threatened, then he should have called 911 (instead of talking to his girlfriend on the phone) and/or went strait back to the residence where he and his father were visiting.
There is no evidence that TM saw GZs gun before the fight started. I really doubt that he would have engaged in a fight if he had seen the gun first.
He made it to the residence where he was staying and circled back.
He made it to the residence where he was staying and circled back.
Actually prosecution wanted all of GZ’s statements to the police sealed. O’Mara wanted them released. So did the Orlando Sentienel.
Listen to DeeDee’s interview with De La Rionda.
there is an audio and a transcript.
The problem with the supposed girl-friend’s statement is that it is hearsay without corroboration. The additional problem for those who want to believe that TM stalked and attacked GZ, who was returning to his truck, is that giving her credence refutes that theory.
So then you don’t believe Dee Dee???
You will find it in here:
I don’t believe any self-serving, uncorroborated statements, Dee Dee’s or Zimmerman’s.
You only have GZ’s word for when TM first saw the gun. And we know that GZ is a liar and a sneak...a liar and a sneak who has a violent history.
TM was also a “liar and a sneak” with a history of theft, drugs and violence.
Why are you ignoring this part? Does it harm your agenda?
That's funny coming from someone who believes a lot of uncorroborated things.
Nonetheless the proof that you requested is in that article. Seek and ye shall find.
The article contains zero proof and is full of “what ifs”...sorry but feel free to try again.
Please post TM’s version of the events that led to GZ killing him and then we can talk about it.
Thanks for corroborating what we knew your response would be to anything with corroborated facts in it.
Please post TMs version of the events that led to GZ killing him and then we can talk about it.
Are you claiming that Treyvon was not a liar and a sneak with a history of theft, drugs and violence?
Here are the facts. Treyvon Martin received multiple school suspensions for fighting, theft and drug related offenses. he was on a school suspension when he was wandering the housing complex. No amount of Media misconduct can alter the reality of these facts.
Here’s a little friendly advice. If you don’t want to die a thug’s death, don’t live a thug’s lifestyle. It’s that easy. It’s just too bad nobody said this to TM.
Speaking of self-serving.
BTW, DeeDee’s interview is what Corey based her affidavit on. The link to the audio of it is on this page as well as a transcription.
No, sparky. The conversation is about GZ’s statement and what we already know about his character, that he is a liar and a sneak with a documented history of violence. The guy is a loser and a punk. I wouldn’t take his uncorroborated word for anything.
You might add the weapon they found in his school backpack to your list of facts.
I don't let Alinski disciples set the rules of discourse. They tend to be liberal and hypocritical (how redundant). Therefore, you don't get to “frame the argument.”
We know that your little buddy Treyvon was a liar and a sneak with a documented history of violence and theft. Had he lived and not changed his ways he would have soon left the school system for the prison system.
No matter how many loony lefties anguish over "poor little saint trey" and claim he's watching from heaven, they will never change the fact that he lived as a thug and died a thug's death.
That is a devastating interview and should make everyone wonder about Corey and De La Rionda's competency and agenda.
Their indictment had only two legs to stand on -- and one of them is this unbelievable interview that makes one wonder if she wasn't coached by Crump and De La Rionda -- but she just didn't get it and couldn't remember what she was supposed to say. I doubt she will ever take the witness stand because this wobbly interview will then be placed into evidence and it may very well end De La Rionda's career.
The one thing that the defense may seize upon in this interview is that she said that Trayvon ran fast enough and long enough to be breathing heavily. Since he had about a 30 second head start on Zimmerman and the house he was staying in was only about a minute away, the fleet-footed younger leaner Trayvon would or should have been halfway home before the slower heavier older George even got started after him.
There are two minutes between the time that Zimmerman gets out of the vehicle and his 911 call ends without incident. Where was Trayvon during this 2 minute period of time??? Why wasn't he home??? He had plenty of time to get home -- if he was actually scared as the prosecution alleges. But the indisputable timeline here makes mincemeat of their narrative.
How could the slower George have gotten anywhere near him -- unless the faster Trayvon turned around at some point and came back, or stopped to hide and wait for him. Dee Dee did indicate that he did get to his father's house in one answer -- but then the prosecutor changes the subject. He doesn't want to hear that Trayvon may have made it home and then went back, because that makes him the potential aggressor.
There are and were a whole bunch of questions that should have been asked. The prosecution went out of its way to avoid them for fear of her answers, but it still stepped in it big time. They are in big trouble in this case, and this Dee Dee interview proves it.
I speculated about this right after the date of this event.
In fact, if Martin had tried to grab a cops gun, they would have shot him 10-20 times.
Bet the rent.
