btw, Wendy Long is the Ted Cruz of NY State, and will also make a great U.S. senator. She is 100% pro-life, pro-Constitution, worked for Justice Thomas, and much, much more. The GOP primary is on Tuesday.

:)

Dewhurst looked awfully uninteresting tonight, that’s for sure. He will have to buy the election to win, after tonight.

“You folks have one in NY? Wow. Good luck to Wendy Long.”

Thank you.

She was on Sean Hannity’s radio show last week, and has been endorsed by many conservatives.

Here’s a thread I just started on her:

Maybe you’ll give the thread a quick bump? :)

2.5 Months?

I’ll admit that I was suprised when I moved here from Illinois that my property taxes were pretty much just as high here. But 2.5 months?? Seems like you would have to be in a house way over your means.

I live in a 3,000 square foot house on a quarter acre lot built in 1997 in a nice but not ritzy subdivision. My property taxes are over $7,000/year which I must say I regard as outrageous. But then again if I made $2,800/month I wouldn’t have been able to afford the house to begin with.....so I don’t see how a person winds up in a house with taxes 2.5 times their monthly salary - unless of course they lose a job or something.

On the other hand I went from a 3% state income tax to a 0% state income tax, so all things considered I still came out way ahead.

Hank

Wendy Long sounds like a great lady, but that doesn’t make her a great candidate. Perhaps she would be better suited for a judicial appointment.

“Wendy Long sounds like a great lady, but that doesn’t make her a great candidate. Perhaps she would be better suited for a judicial appointment.”

Wendy Long handles herself very well, and NY Post political writer Fred Dicker feels she is an excellent speaker, better than her two GOP opponents.

And she’d make a great judge, too. :)

If Perry is for Dewhurst, then I’m for Cruz. Talk abut two establishment people; only KBH and the Bushes can top those two.

You are so right about uninformed voters just ovaling in the politicians they have heard of. That was an immense help to Romney too. And the Texans are just as uninformed asw those in the other forty-nine states!

It’s called “Name I.D.” People who are uninformed vote for the name with which they are familiar.

Yep! That's how DEW hurst got so many votes on election day but most of those people will NOT show back up for the run off and "broken glass" republicans WILL show back up!

That is why I say that Dew hurst is TOAST!

Dewhurst won the Jimmy Carter Co Generator Lotto.

Wants everyone to think he earned it with his blood sweat and tears.

I have a quarter that thinks he is in the Ethanol market too

It’s the old house I grew up in and we raised our kids in it. When we put it in our name it was well within our means and we’d planned on retiring in it. It’s a small house, less than half the size of yours and on a small lot. Friends with newer larger homes on acreage pay less tax. It’s all about location. Like I said 2 weeks of income covered the taxes at one time, however, taxes have skyrocketed so now it’s 2.5 months income. It’s now nearly 3 times what it was just ten years ago. This year it went up $750 from what is was last year. I can’t protest because I’m paying less than comparable properties. Another FReeper is in the same boat. Literally every other home nearby is up for sale because of the inflated tax issue rather than an income situation. Some are being turned into rentals to keep ahead while still on the market. The next door neighbors also had planned on retiring in their home next year but just yesterday said they’re being taxed out so may not can do so.

I sure hope you are right, South. Are you from Texas?
I sent Cruz a contribution...am going to send another.

A pro Dewie Freeper(can’t remember who) said that Cruz is the estab. choice and D. the Conservative. Other way around!
All of the talk show hosts who support Ted need to have him on again.

“BTW, where are all three of the Texas Dewhurst supporters on the thread this evening? Just wondering.”

The Dewhurst campaign only pays them to work this board
M-F 9-5. It’s after 5PM, so they are off for the weekend.

So, in your mind, the Texas conservatives who have been in statewide office since Bush left for Washington are “the establishment”?

Our guys who have been battling the intrusions of the feds and the dems for the last ten years are “the establishment”?

And the GOP-e, namely the Bushes and KBH who endorse Cruz, are the conservatives now?

Dude, since Bush is for Cruz, then I’m for Dewhurst.

You said

Any proof Bush endorsed Cruz?

He did not and will not endorse anyone
why LIE?
