Slow and infuriating: Obama looks bad in partisan feud over Holder

If not for hypocrisy, bad faith and opportunism, politics would wither away. The latest case of suspect outrage in Washington pits the Obama White House against hostile interlocutors in Congress over documents regarding a disastrous Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives program called Fast and Furious.
For two years, Rep. Darrell Issa, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, has conducted hearings about the...
--snip--
While outrage in Congress was understandable given how poorly run the operation was, it had more than a whiff of partisan hackery about it. Rep. Issa pursued Attorney General Eric H. Holder for documents as relentlessly as Inspector Javert pursued Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables."
For reasons that encourage skepticism about the Obama administration's intentions, the Justice Department has not cooperated by providing all of the requested documents. It has not been transparent or forthcoming despite Mr. Holder's insistence to the contrary. Meanwhile, conspiracy theories abound. President Obama, who opposed President George W. Bush's liberal use of executive privilege, is in a jam.
This week, Mr. Obama claimed executive privilege as a rationale for withholding the documents from congressional oversight. Rep. Issa referred a contempt citation against Mr. Holder to the full House, which will vote on it soon.
Even if the investigation is deeply partisan, that doesn't mean executive privilege is warranted except in the rarest of cases. Mr. Obama has lost the high ground.

They’re not even yet talking about the killing of the US Customs guy down in Mexico —they killed him cuz they viewed him (and us) as an extension of the Sinaloa Cartel.
Cuz Obama struck a secret, “no busts for intel” deal with the Sinaloa Cartel.
This is their “innovative, under-the-radar” stuff, see?
Nice, huh?
The liberal media will NEVAR report that part of the mess. Never.

“Mr. Obama has lost the high ground.”
That piece of corrupt filth, Obama, has never been on “high ground” and he wouldn’t recognize it if he were standing on it.

Jaime Zapata’s family is suing the government for wrongful death.
I wonder what the story is on Univision and other Spanish speaking media.

"Rep. Issa pursued Attorney General Eric H. Holder for documents as relentlessly as Inspector Javert pursued Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables." The analogy falls apart when you consider that Jean Valjean had never really been evil. Javert v Issa is a more interesting comparison. Both are virtuous bureaucrats doing their jobs diligently.

Doesn't matter....Diversions is the name of the game right now....
Obamacare decision is going to send him into a frenzy. I'm sure there are several scripts ready and we're gonna have to listen to MORE cr**.
Which Route will he take:
"The Constitution doesn't apply to 2012.
People like Fluke (Our contraceptive queen) will suffer and she'll have to cut out Bob and Jim.
Mary has cancer but no insurance. No insurance for her. (Psst...she's been getting Medicaid for 20 years).
Michelle is due for a vacation.

Doesn't matter....Diversions is the name of the game right now....This diversion isn't going away with his claim of Executive Privilege. Hundreds of dead Mexicans does him no good with the Latino vote.

Their country has been a piece of garbage forever.
They're here for all the benefits and any form of amnesty.

Who or what is Masthead Editorial? Was the writer (author) too ashamed to put a name to this garbage? What is with Masthead Editorial (some name HuH) for saying this is deeply partisan. Masthead Editorial must not be able to handle the truth or does not care to try to find the truth. Dear Lord ... if people dying from a criminal operation is hypocrisy, bad faith and opportunism by those seeking the truth, could You Lord help? This article is beyond my BS meter.

THE MASTHEAD AND UNSIGNED EDITORIALSThe NY Times editorial board hass over a dozen members, IIRC. The head will often assign two three of them to collaborate on topics in which they have some expertise.

As suspected the Masthead Editorial or Editor(s) are too ashamed to place their names in print. I have a nick here, yet if my name (is wanted am certain) it is not hidden. Have someone call my internet provider. The all powerful know more than most realize. Certain you are aware of these facts.
My apology if anyone here works for the Times (Unexpected Right?). Hiding behind Masthead Editorial is slimy.

Wonder why newspaper people hide and write this type of garbage? Well if I wrote this type of garbage me thinks I would have good reason to hide, me guess. Me guess me stupid though I know for a fact I am not hidden. Anyone can be found anytime and everything can be found out about one if one is powerful enough to seek those answers. So though it may appear to some I am hidden, in actuality I am not. MASTHEAD and UNSIGNED EDITORIALS ... tells me the author is ashamed of their garbage.
My apology for the rant neverdem and my apology to the poster I ranted (on their post earlier to). Sometimes 'that's way it is' to quote Cronkite causes my blood to boil when 'that's the way it is' .. isn't.

...the botched undercover program that was designed to track the movement of guns sold to Mexican drug cartels. They put no tracking devices on them. No one followed the straw buyers when they crossed the border. No one on the Mexican side of the border was informed about it in any way. Even ATF agents stationed in Mexico were kept in the dark. They waved goodbye to the guns at the border and let the Mexican police pick them up again after bloody firefights.
What kind of design is that?

one would suppose that in an age of accountability professed to be the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth of the majority writing and majority speaking, one could actually find the truth without someone coming into the room and saying ... That's the way it is ... Get over it ... and the thoughts of the masses is simply another opinion and normally wrong. The lamestream does this constantly, both by action and inaction. It surprises me for their families are being placed in jeopardy (by lamestream media action and inaction) as much as they (the lamestream) places all families in jeopardy. Was just visited by the ghost of Cronkite and advised ... That's the way it is ... Get over it! We (who are the lamestream media) tell each one what is to be thought, and your job is to believe. You don't believe? Okay, it is still America, at least for now, and you're fired" It may in reality not what is taking place, yet many times lamestream media garbage is simply garbage. Not surprisingly ... many of the masses have decided to seek their information elsewhere.

IIRC those two devices were built by a field agent who bought the hardware himself. That wasn't even an official action as part of operational policy.
Good article in the link. I only had time to skim it this morning but I'll have to read it fully later.
