President Barack Obama still refuses to waffle when it comes to baseball loyalties.
The commander-in-chief has consistently repped his hometown Chicago White Sox throughout his first term, wearing a White Sox jacket at the All-Star Game in St. Louis, rooting for the Pale Hose over Strasburg and Co. while in the District and being skeptical about the gift of a Brewers jersey in Wisconsin.

yes—it’s like the old days when Lou Pinella, or a bit more recently Lou Merloni, had people chanting “louuuuuuuuuuuu” and it sounded like boos, or with Youkilis how Sox fans chanted “Youuuuuuuuuuuuk” and it sounded like a boo, but wasn’t.
But this was most likely a boo, no matter how they spin it!
Because Carney is a such a sock puppet that he can't ever admit to such a thing.
Frankly, I think this is one of Obama's most appealing moments. Come to think if it, maybe his only appealing moment. For just a moment, he was actually just a baseball fan ribbing another team because his team just got one of their former favored players. The way he laughed suggests that it was intentional.
Carney can't even see that, though. He should have focused on the "regular guy" aspect of this rather than still foisting the messiah image on us.
