I live in congressional district in metro DC area that went heavily for Obama in 2008. I just got my first Mitt Romney for President 2012 bumper sticker. I am a die hard Republican and I have put GOP bumper stickers on my car in the past. However this year I am seriously hesitating putting the Romney one on even though I very much want him to win. Reason: I fear physical assault to my person or vehicle. Furthermore I know it is early in the election cycle but I haven't seen any Romney stickers on any cars either. Anyone else having this fear?
A) I live in the SF Bay Area, and B) bumper stickers don’t influence anyone.
Embarrassed is more like it..............
In 2000, I worked at a project at the Pentagon that required parking in the same lot with union laborers. I was afraid to put my Bush sticker on my car.
No.
Extreme discomfort due to the fact I am faced with a Scylla and Charybdis election choice?
Most definitely.
I value my conscience too much to put a Romney sticker on my car.
Is it true the have MDMA dispensers on every corner, or does Pelosi have to get hers via prescription?
How about Obama stickers? Seeing any of those? See my tagline?
I don’t think I would ever put one on anyway. Like the person above said, they don’t change anyones vote. It’s not worth the trouble if someone did feel the need to confront.
No
Im just boldly not going to...
Ive only seen one Romney bumper sticker in my area...
Was a little nervous about putting the (FUBO) sticker on my pick up.
Been three years now and so far no problem just inquiries
Nothing good can come from putting a mittens sticker on your car.
If you want to make a statement, get a small sticker and put it on your credit card. Let folks that live off your spending know where the money comes from.
Yes. I would be afraid to do that. Folks would think I’d lost my ever-lovin’ mind, since Romney stands against my conservative principles.
No, it is just a lack of desire.

...and B) bumper stickers dont influence anyone
You're right!........
I agree they don’t influence but it was often nice to annoy liberals with a Bush sticker for example.
On another level I do think there are at least a few million voters saying they are for Obama but really won’t vote for him. They’re just afraid.
Lots of Obama 12 stickers here in Indiana.
Sadly a few at our Catholic church.
Baraq won’t win here though, 08 was a fluke.
Republicans have a strong ticket for Gov and Senate and will drag Mitty across the finish line a winner.
Afraid? No. Ashamed would be more like it.
Romney isn’t even the nominee yet.
Once he is, he’ll show up...
I magnatize my political bumper sticker. Then I can remove it when I run into Whole Foods,or..gasp..travel to Boulder.
i’m with you. i have only stickers from my kids HSs and college on my vehicle now, along with prolife plates and am getting keyed, in the DC district building garage. i have parked in this garage for 20 years. During the second Bush administration i had a leftwing loon harangue me about the Bush/Cheney bumper sticker i had on my van at the time. She started out with saying something like, saw the Bush/Cheney sticker, how’s that working out for you now? i said BETTER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE, and she went immediately to insulting my intelligence. i replied that it was just like a liberal to devolve to personal attacks in a political discussion. as i went down the street she screamed after me “I don’t know how you SLEEP at night!!” it was mindboggling. it took several hours for my BP to calm down after that exchange. so yeah, not going to put a Romney sticker on my vehicle, despite my 17 yo volunteering as an intern in the Fairfax Romney HQ this summer.
I haven't seen any Romney stickers in Houston but I have seen 2 obozo/2012 stickers.
I live in the very Red State of Texas. No bumper sticker needed. When and if I do sport a bumper sticker, it’s only to piss off Liberals.
I would be more embarrassed than afraid.
For me personally, it is a good year to focus on congressional races.
Nah, we don't destroy people's property or instigate physical violence because we disagree with folks. I do think that Obamunists worry, because that's how they're apt to react.
tellw, in 2004 we had a "W04" sticker on our car and had our tires flattened 6 times in 4 months until we traded the vehicle in. Now, I put any political stickers onto a magnetic backing and remove them when I park.
I’d lose all of my friends as well as my self respect. I’ll put a NOBAMA sticker on but that’s about it.
I don’t put anything on my stuff which would attract irritation when I’m not around. Just takes one off-kilter idiot. Low-profile is preferred in most situations.
I see Omugabama stickers here and there, mostly on Priuses driven by priggish looking seniors, where I’m confident they have the reverse of the affect intended.
If given a choice between a “Romney” sticker and an “I Love Weak Kneed, Lilly Livered, Spineless Jellyfish Rinos” sticker...I’ll get back to you.
i see them, but i work in DC so you know that’s going to be the case.
It’s funny you should say that. I almost have that fear as well.....and I live in a fairly ‘red’ area. I haven’t seen but a few stickers so far.
I’m always tempted to look at the driver if I see one.
There have been very few times that the driver didn’t fit the stereotypical 0bama supporter.
Yes. Actually, I “wish” not Romney but a Nobama type sticker. I just got a beautiful new red car. You bet in my 50% AA neighborhood I haven’t put it on my car.
But I don't want to be seen as an idiot so I wont..
He doesn't get my bumper or my vote..
When a lib somehow implies that liberals are better, more caring people than conservatives,
I simply ask the question -
which car is more likely to be damaged,
one with an 0bama sticker in a conservative neighborhood,
or one with a conservative sticker in a liberal neighborhood?
If they answer other than the latter, I simply tell them I don’t believe that they even believe that.
I live in the Bronx - no fng way am I putting a romeny or even anti obama sticker on the car.
i do notice that there are almost no obama stickers around here at all. Almost nothing at all!
But an ABO sticker is not out of the question.
To date, I have voted in 11 Presidential elections.
ONLY twice, have I voted FOR a candidate rather than voting against a candidate.
And like that candidate, I left the Democrats when he ran. Even though I voted Republican in '68, '72 and '76; I remained a registered Democrat until 1980.
And I continually shake my head at why more politicians don't run for the office the way Ronald Reagan did.
Reagan was a Nolan Ryan fastball, straight and direct, and everybody else has run like a Phil Niekro knuckleball, floating around all over the place.
Not afraid, but I won’t be putting any bumper stickers on my car, Facebook pimping, or signs in my yard. If I decide to hold my nose and vote for him, it will be in silence. No free marketing for the Romney camp.
I don’t like bumper stickers anyway.
Just last week I bought a used Dodge Caravan that has an NRA sticker, A police support sticker, a pro life sticker, and a peace symbol.
Put the Romney sticker next to a pro-gun sticker, karate sticker, Semper Fi sticker and leave several issues of SOF and Guns and Ammo on the seats.
I wouldn’t put a Romney sticker on my car, unless it showed me gagging when I have to vote for him............
I fit in this catagory. Nice call.
Good list but don't forget the gun rack!
I’ve seen a few 2012 ‘obamma for president’ bumper snickers, but not one of romney’s.
my car was keyed over Bush stickers.
now I do not use any stickers but instead look to see what other people’s stickers say.

I see far more anti-Obama stickers than Romney ones.
One sticker has magically disappeared off the roadways since the 0bama regime came to power: “Dissent is patriotic.” Now it’s deemed “racist.”
