Press conference from March 2009 where Robert Gibbs, former White House press secretary ,Janet Napolitano head of DHS, David Ogden Deputy Attorney General, and Jim Steinberg Deputy secretary of state roll out a new initiative that the "President has directed" which included " fortifying Project Gun Runner" , and "working with the Mexicans to facilitate Gun Tracing which targets illegal weapons and their sources in the United States", This operation officially became known as Fast and Furious. During subsequent testimony to Congress, Attorney General Eric Holder denied any knowledge of this operation, then retracted denial of Fast and Furious 9 months later. President Obama also denied any knowledge of this operation and is now using Executive privilege to prevent Congress from seeing any documents linked to operation Fast and Furious. As can be seen from this press conference however, he most certainly knew about it and ordered the operation.

So is this Fast and Furious or Gun Walker? Either way seems to me Obama knew about it.

I find it funny that the Left is going with their standard “Bush did it!”. So I’m supposed to believe that Obama and Holder are going to the wall on the documents...to protect Bush and Gonzalez? Please.

IIRC Gunwalker is the name of the entire program. F&F is just one branch of it. (AZ) other branches in TX and NM. same premise. Therefore, ALL three were directed from above and did NOT just spring up spontaneously.

Eric WitHolder does not want us to know what he did, even though he claims he did nothing wrong.

Thanks for the ping from the other thread.

Yes, this is stunning.

The administration openly admitting there was a gun tracing program in 2009 tells me they were not worried about keeping it secret because its outcome wasn’t dependent on any “sting” operations, but rather an already arranged cooperation with the cartels who would conveniently leave tracked weapons behind at crime scenes to be then ginned into outrage against “smuggled” US weapons causing havoc and build support for more strict gun control legislation.

The cartels were partners in this program. That is what Zero is trying to keep secret.

Never in their conniving little minds did they consider these weapons would be used to murder US agents.

How many of these guns made it into Mexican gangs in Chicago, where it’s summertime, and the killing is easy?

What I saw was a press conference Obama held from Mexico, either shortly before being sworn in, or shortly thereafter. It preceded the news conference that Napolitano made.

We sure are getting close. What will it be? Attack on Syrial? A terrorist attack here? Riots from the health care law? Trayvon Martin? He is getting desparate. When a rat is in the corner they tend to lash out. Be weary my friends be weary.
