Sarah Palin Thank you, SCOTUS.

Thank you, SCOTUS. This Obamacare ruling fires up the troops as America’s eyes are opened! Thank God.

This proves to be such an unsettling time in America as we undergo the fundamental transformation that Barack Obama promised he would do to us if elected. Obamacare was dealt in deception and confusion by flooding the public with an overwhelming amount of conflicting “rationale” via thousands of pages of unread legislative detail, which is the radical left’s M.O. Obama promised the American people this wasn’t a tax and that he’d never raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000. We now see that this is the largest tax increase in history. It will slam every business owner and every one of the 50% of Americans who currently pay their taxes. The other 50% are being deceived if they think they’re going to get a free ride – because Medicaid is broke. Recipients of Obama’s “free health care” will have fewer choices and less accessibility. Trust me – this much more expensive health care WILL be rationed; to claim otherwise defies all economic and common sense.

We will not retreat on this. A newly elected legislative branch is key to defending our Republic and fundamentally restoring all that is good in America.

SCOTUS now rules this is a tax? Well, Congress has the ability to create taxes – and also has the ability to rescind them. Upon their return from the July recess, Congress should act immediately to repeal this terrible new tax on the American people, and indeed they must repeal all of Obamacare. This is the most brazen and sweeping new tax and government overreach imposed on us. We the People did not ask for this tax, we do not want this tax, and we can’t afford this tax. This is not an answer to America’s health care challenges.

It’s time, again, for patriotic Americans to rise up to protest this obvious infringement on our economic and personal freedom. November is just around the corner. Today, the Supreme Court issued their ruling on Obamacare. In November, We the People will issue ours.

This was a horrible, horrible, horrible ruling, and she’s cheerleading for it?

Do you even know how to read? Or do you just read a headline, imagine the rest, and respond to your imagination?

I thought about burning ours in the street yesterday. I put up our Gadsden flag. On July 4th, I am thinking that I might do as others, and fly the One World Goobt Utopian Society (formerly known as the USA) one upside-down and underneath.

I don’t know why I hoarded copies of the Constitution. I guess I can use them for toilet paper when we are cut off from that too.

it’s not just a tax . It’s a tax and a mandate.

They threw out the mandate.

Get a clue.

Get a grip.

Misleading title. Never a good idea...

Otherwise, I do wish Sarah were President right now.

Look on the bright side. Those anti-Republican guys like Ron Paul? Happily their philosophy didn’t advance with this ruling. Thank G-d we have real conservative Republicans appointing strict Constitutionalist to the court, otherwise the jihadis may kill us for our freedoms.

Were you going to pay for 24/7/365 security for her and her family? Do you have ANY IDEA how expensive that is?

Of course it matters.

A TEApublican Congress and President could impeach SCOTUS RATs.

Roberts was just a little too cutesy clever by half. He thinks he pulled a fast one.

I think you got it about right Tex. Anyone that thought this was going to be overturned simply underestimated how corrupt the political class is. They busily spent hundreds of billions implementing this insanity, so if the court was indeed going to do anything they would have shut it down and saved a few hundred billion. I was a little surprised that it was Roberts that came up with this insane idea that a tax don't have to be a tax, it only has to act like a tax. One of the silver linings that some claimed, was set straight by a Rush caller today, when he clearly made the point that this ruling did nothing to restrain commerce. I am 73 years old with big health problems, I don't plan on going to a hospital for any reason, I figure my odds are better at home. God save the Re[public, because the politicians surely won't.Social Matters don't matter right?

Reps have given lip service...Now the Reps are going to have to actually quit relying on the courts to do their dirty work...

Are you referring to any specific Representatives, or just Congressional members in general?

But SCOTUS rulings take decades to reverse

I would (respectfully) disagree with that. The SCOTUS does not reverse itself. Even the horrible Dred Scott decision was not reversed by the SCOTUS -- a constitutional convention did that.

Heck, even the modern Vatican can say: "sorry" regarding its past treatment of men of science like Galileo, but the SCOTUS just goes on destroying our rights and liberties (Kelo vs New London). No reversals, no "sorrys". Nothing. Just an out of control bunch of people who have the position for life.

ONLY a constitutional convention can correct this mess.

Sarah Louise and I share an Alma Mater. She had the chance to learn how to deal in fundamentals , facts, and do research, just as I did. AND she majored in journalism which might mean she can write better than I can. Her writings are always accurate and thotful and deserve to be read carefully-———and I still support her for veep, pres, or whatever she wants to go for and she’s STILL the only reason I sent McPain any money.

I have no time for anyone who still thinks this Country can be saved via the courts or the Congress.

Then who DO you have time for?

"Delusional" comes to mind for those who think this can be fixed if we just "vote for them one more time".

You are delusional if you think that's what she said. She voted for NEWT, she isn't responsible for the immature, naive voter who didn't!

The painful experience is that the elected legislator has little stomach to stand up to the media and the sorts of fire storm it generates with all of academia behind it. Sarah leaving the Governor’s seat was an example of that issue — it was impossible for her (or anyone) to do the job she was elected to do.

Two words: Scott Walker.
