Look for more of that to happen. Civil disobedence is going to become real popular.

Sadly, we got a little bit closer to it today.

The Chicago Way: find the key decision makers, arrange for a quiet meeting, and ask “how can we make you an offer you can’t refuse?”

” Now we know why he had to hire many more IRS agents and an {”national security” gang to oversee this bill. It has nothing to do with health and everything to do with control”

That was Obama’s plan all along, and he won.

We’re going to get single payer and get ready for Canadian style taxes to pay for it and both the Left and the Right will get behind it just like what happened in Canada. Its just a matter of time now.

“The Affordable Care Act’s requirement that certain individuals pay a financial penalty for not obtaining health insurance may reasonably be characterized as a tax,” wrote Chief Justice John Roberts, in his majority opinion. “Because the Constitution permits such a tax, it is not our role to forbid it, or to pass upon its wisdom or fairness.”

A financial penalty for not buying something is a tax? How so?

How does the Constitution permit such a tax? What was his reasoning?

It appears to me that the SC rewrote the legislation.

Look for civil disobedence to make a comeback.

If congress doesn't do something instantly to fix this, I'm looking for open season on democrats. Revolutionary War II is upon us.

“Rush’s take: Roberts has been turned by the Elite argument”

Please show me one person from the Ivy League that is not an Oligarchist and will put the country ahead of his/her position in the club. I personally think that it’s time that we start taxing college endowments.

If the burden of preserving Liberty is now on our shoulders (by means of refreshing its Tree with natural manure or otherwise), it is simply our duty to preserve it.

Yes, and now that the Chicago thugs have this huge victory, it just will encourage them to seek out more and more ways to line their own pockets through corruption that makes those of us who work hard and pay taxes the victims of their evil.

It’s worse than that. It says that the power to tax means that they can tax you for anything, even if they can’t constitutionally do the thing they are taxing you for.

Not that I agree with it but I think they do that already..if not dirrectly its hidden in the price of almost everything.
We are, no doubt, paying for morally objectionable things via taxes already.
True Tax Reform seems like the only solution.

Mark my words, we are closer to a second American revolution.

Believe me, it would indeed be a way to truly restore our Republic. But after reading and studying revolutions past I tried to ponder how one would come about in modern America.

I don't see any way that one could take hold? The moment an uprising occurs the Federal government would be utterly brutal in it's response.

I feel there are two ways out of this mess: 1) through a total collapse of our civilization. No one should want that. 2) Somehow enough States develop the leadership to legally dissolved the existing Federal government and re-institute a much smaller, Constitutional Republic.

Large numbers of Federal workers will have to be fired and have their pensions revoked. All courts below the Supreme Court will have to be dissolved. Most Federal Departments will have to be eliminated.

The 17th Amendment must be quickly repealed, followed by the 16th.

The States have the power to carry this process out. I place the odds of (2) happening at less than .000001 %

So, I ask, how do you envision the 2nd American Revolution unfolding?
