Today's ruling was based on a lawsuit that 0bamacare violates the commerce clause, so.. Another multi-state lawsuit should be forthcoming which sues the Feds for TAXING inactivity.
Since Roberts redefined 0bamacare, 26 States will simply have to redefine their lawsuit. Makes sense, right?
Roberts says
“The Affordable Care Act’s requirement that certain individuals pay a financial penalty for not obtaining health insurance may reasonably be characterized as a tax’
“May reasonably be characterized” means he was stretching the truth.
He could have done that by voting with the four dissenters and killing ObamaCare dead!!!

The great irony being the Forefathers told us that the Constitution was meant to prevent such “democratic choices” from robing people of their reserved rights. Now that Constitution is dead thanks to John. The fate of the associated Obamacare is thus now irrelevant, as the formerly free people who were threatened by it are now also threaten bt a thousand other potential evils even greater.
The house is indeed burnt down but in your hast to rebuild you seem to have overlooked the fact that the foundation upon which it once stood is similarly destroyed.
John Roberts saw to that by declaring such a tax power to exist. We can repeal Obamacare but something else will just as quickly pop up using the same power.
The only way forward is revolution. A new foundation in liberty must be layed, perhaps on he cleared out runes of this empire, perhaps elsewhere.
To put this in English: The Federal Government(as it exist under Roberts) must be abolished and either abandoned or completely rebuilt.

Is Congress' power to tax really unlimited? For example, if Congress passed a $10,000 per-gun, per-year tax on firearm ownership (effectively making gun ownership impossible for a majority of the citizenry) would that be a legitimate tax function of the Congress or a violation of the Second Amendment?

They’ve been doing that for decades.
You think I want to buy food, housing, legal help, etc. for millions of people SCAMMING the welfare system with duplicate names, addresses, etc., many of them not even legal residents?
You think I want to send millions to totalitarians and tribalists across the globe?
You think I want to send untold billions to crony capitalists?
This is nothing new. And it sucks.
I suppose this November is when we find out how many Americans still value freedom.
Do not doubt that the next thing they will come for is your savings, if you have any.
They are already bankrupt.
Since they can now tax ANYTHING, your 401Ks, IRAs, etc. will be the next target. They need the money to pay for the welfare state, and buy votes.
You will be told that not only are you too stupid to decide what kind or type of medical insurance you need, you are also too stupid to invest your own savings. The government will force you to convert your savings to a government annuity, for your own financial “safety”, of course. Or, if you don’t, you will be charged a “penalty” or a “tax” for not complying.
And your principle will be put into a “lock box” just like your social security payments were (LOL,,r-i-g-h-t), to be rolled into the general fund to pay for Obamacare, and other vote buying schemes.
They’ve already had comittees recommend doing this. SCOTUS just green-lighted the effort for the progressives.
The coming election may well be one of our last chances to stem the progressive tide.
Vote like your future depends on it, because it truly does.
