Holder Deserves Contempt Slap For Fast And Furious
IBD Editorial ^ | June 28, 2012 | Editor

Scandal: The House vote to hold the attorney general in contempt is well-deserved for someone with a track record of incompetence and lying to Congress. He serves and protects a president just as unworthy.

It has been a mystery to us how baseball great Roger Clemens could be put on trial for lying to Congress but Attorney General Eric Holder was not. Holder has under oath made many misstatements of fact and contradictory statements and concealed documents on a life-and-death matter.

Hiding the documents that show who ordered and approved Operation Fast and Furious, the Obama administration gun-running operation that killed Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and ICE Agent Jaime Zapata, is far worse than steroids in baseball.

Now a bipartisan vote, including by some Democrats, holds Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, and it's completely justified.

Holder had the audacity to try to plea-deal with House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, saying he would provide a "fair compilation" if Issa canceled permanently contempt proceedings, certified Holder was in full compliance with subpoena requests and accepted the documents offered sight unseen.

Issa properly responded no deal.

The results of this vote mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if the current crop of ass-kissing republican whiners don’t follow through with CONSEQUENCES.

First, the Supreme Court says that a tax on something you neither own nor do is constitutional, and now, Obama seems to let a few dead border agents, who are people under his responsibility as Commander-in-Chief fly by, when a real investigation is neccessary into what is going on. Sounds real good for our president, in fact, it’s about time some on the Left had enough sense to jump ship in the face of what could be coming their way.

Holder deserves jail time at the very least. Twenty years in the electric chair would be better.

Probably the best thing the Republicans can hope for is to light a fire under Holder that unless he gets an official pardon for his crimes by Obama, before he leaves office, Holder to could face criminal charges.

The Democrats have used such threat in the past to force Republican presidents to protect their subordinates with pardons. But it’s a good question whether Obama is a “stand up guy” of if he’s willing to ‘sacrifice’ Holder on the grounds of “what have you done for me lately?”

However, if he does leave Holder dangling in the wind, I wonder if Holder would rat him out?

He deserves a jail cell and execution. As a matter of fact I think he should be shot and brought back to be shot again for each and every human being that died because of Fast and Furious. Contempt is meaningless without penalties.

Where are the families of the Mexicans killed by guns supplied by F&F?? Or do they only complain and sue when they die trying to enter our formerly free country illegally??

Regardless of whether the Food Stamp President pardons Eric the Corrupt before he leaves office next January, President Romney should gather up all the paperwork and send it down to Mexico’s Attorney General. Let them put out an international arrest warrant for him and offer to extradite him to Mexico if asked.

For at least half the country a compemt citation means nothing. They are right. Nothing will happen to those in contempt.
