Mitt Romney's presidential campaign has raised $4.2 million since the Supreme Court ruled the healthcare reform legislation constitutional, his press secretary reported in a tweet on Friday morning.

Romney responded to the ruling by renewing his pledge to repeal the Affordable Care Act known as "Obamacare."

He wrote in a fundraising email to supporters on Thursday: "Today, the Supreme Court upheld Obamacare. But regardless of what the Court said about the constitutionality of the law, Obamacare is bad medicine, it is bad policy, and when I’m President, the bad news of Obamacare will be over."

The Supreme Court's ruling was a clear win for President Obama, who counts the healthcare bill as a signature achievement of his first term. But Romney and other Republicans made clear they would not give up the fight to repeal what they call a government takeover of healthcare.

Romney's campaign had raised $2.5 million by 1:33 p.m. Thursday.

Abortion is not even an issue in this campaign,which is telling. Stopping abortion will never happen by government action. It will only happen when women and men are raised to understand the consequences and given the moral compass to understand how evil abortion is. If you are waiting for a candidate for the Presidency to add the repeal of Roe v. Wade to their plank you will never vote again. Stop government funding of abortions, stop government free pre and post natal care and you can get a little control over the issue. If the government stops funding Planned Parenthood than the cost of an abortion will go up dramatically. Stop feeding the providers money and the costs will rise for abortions, Mitt will not do this, but a conservative Congress can and can force Mitt to sign the bill.

Yes,but then the reality of what will Romeny do? If he repeals ObamaRomney/Care on day one I would definitely feel much better. If he backs off or compromises..then I am going on Welfare.

Thanks to Roberts, we'll all be on welfare before too long unless we maintain a perpetually conservative congress.

Romney is a stop gap measure (as he is our only option at the moment).

You should get a historical perspective, this is not the first time we have been through this. There has been hand wringing likes this at various times in our history. Our country has not ended, politicians have been reviled and accused of destroying this country for two centuries now. We are fighting policies that began with Wilson and need to be stopped now. It has been a hundred year war and the conservatives are the last bastion of limited government. Mitt is NOT a conservative, but Obama IS a dictator. While Glenn Beck can be tedious with his histrionics, he gives a very good historical perspective of the war. Every time someone says “oh it's Gods will” or “our country has already ended” they have surrendered to Soros and his ilk. We cannot totally turn back the clock, but we now need a constitutional amendment(s) to stop the court from taxing from the bench as the Chief Anus Roberts did, to change our tax laws and stop payroll taxes, to protect our religious institutions and update our immigration laws and put troops on our borders and finally term limit politicians forever. That will not all happen under Mitt, and it will be a long fight, but we have a chance with GOP governors, State AG’s, a DOJ that threatens to actually enforce the laws on the books, conservatives in Congress driving the agenda etc. Surrender to the Dictator and Chief Obama and none of it will ever happen.

God does not determine the course a country takes, who is elected or what they believe. God is concerned about the soul of man, the secular activities of man are not his concern. God gave man free will, how we use it determines how we live our life and what comes after life. God gave us the guide to a good life and a good society, we have the free will to follow it or not. You may believe that God intervenes in your personal life, but there is nothing in the Bible that says God intervenes in Governments directly. He did use Prophets at one time but only with his choosing people.

Sounds like you've never reviewed Romney's record of appointments to the bench. I wouldn't feel so confident about what sort of people he'll nominate to the Supreme Court if I were you.
