Mitch McConnells appearance today on Fox News Sunday was remarkably revealing it showed as clearly as you could want that the Supreme Court decision is finally forcing Republicans to declare what, exactly, they would replace Obamacare with if they realize their goal of repealing it entirely.
Pressed by Chris Wallace to say what he would do to insure the 30 million people who will get insurance under Obamacare, McConnell at first dodged the question, instead launching into a litany of complaints about the law. He repeated the debunked claim that it would cut $500 billion from Medicare. Asked the question again by Wallace, McConnell actually laughed, and said hed get to it in a minute, before claiming the best thing we can do for the health system overall is to get rid of the law and all of its cuts to health providers. He labeled Obamacare a monstrosity and vowed that there would not be a 2,700 page Republican reform bill.
Asked a third time how Republicans would insure those 30 million people, McConnell said: That is not the issue. The question is how you can go step by step to improve the American health care system.
The most charitable reading of McConnells quote is that he meant that Republicans see no need to come up up with a single overarching reform plan that would cover those millions of uninsured, and instead will advocate a step-by-step approach. But even Wallace saw McConnells quote in far less charitable terms:

I really think this buffoon works for barry.
There's the problem right there. He belongs on 60 Minutes not Fox News Channel.
Why not? Roberts does.
“Pressed by Chris Wallace to say what he would do to insure the 30 million people who will get insurance under Obamacare...”

First off, as always with Communists, I would tear into Wallace’s foundational lie of “30 million unisured”. Who are these people? Why don’t they qualify for the already in place Medicaid? What is the specific demographic make-up of this group? Why are they uninsured?
But then, unlike McConnell, I actually have a chin.
NEVER let the Left set the ground rules for the argument.
Diversion and evasion are tools of deceit
All these people do is lie.
Yup. He is his father’s son. “Acorn don’t fall far from the tree....”
None of these people in D.C., including omama care about heath care...They only want your money and assets.
More control....
He appears to be, uh, not smart...
“Providing Health Insurance is not the job of the Federal Government!”
“Chris, the best thing the Government can do is get out of the way of Private Industry and let them provide the jobs and the Insurance coverage.”
“We can institute Tort Reform, which would eliminate $250 Billion in unnecessary, defensive medicine, EACH YEAR, Chris!”
“We can tear down the barriers to Interstate competition for Health Insurers.”
“Chris, an Insurance Card is NOT “Healthcare”! In fact, Government run Obamacare makes it a certainty that your access to Doctors, Tests, and EFFECTIVE Treatment, will be BLOCKED, or long delayed!”
I'd bet there is more uninsured than that.
Unless your wealthy and have top shelf heath insurance, or are a government employee or retired government employee... for all those left, the bottom line is the health care industry is in total complete chaos, totally controlled by big corrupt insurance...I mean total chaos...
How valid is the 30-million number? Seems strange to me that the same number seems to be used when determining the size of the illegal aliens and the size of the uninsured. Are they one and the same? If so, then we can eliminate both by rounding them up and sending them back to where they came from. Problem solved.
When I have to go to the emergency room, the hospital holds me responsible for any charges that Medicare does not cover. If I fail to pay, then I hear from collection agencies and my credit score suffers. An illegal alien can go to the same emergency room, receive the same services that I got and walk out owing nothing.
If there were truly 30-million people in this country being denied health care, there would be thousands of dead bodies collecting on the streets. The same 30-million don’t have burial insurance either. There are no bodies, and their basic health care needs are being met—case closed.
It’s really not an issue.
Much of that 30 million does not want to be covered or is here illegally. For the rest we can come up with a solution that does not cost $1.8 trillion nor strip basic freedoms away from all Americans.
Obamacare does not “cover” the uninsured. It forces them to buy their own insurance. The Dems tell us that only 1% will be fined/taxed for not buying it. That means 99% will purchase health insurance, so who is Obamacare covering?
The correct answer that McConnell should have given Wallace was: NOT EVERYONE NEEDS HEALTH INSURANCE. That we all need to "insure" our health is the premise that we should not accept. The fact that if someone does need health insurance, the Federal Government is the last place that they should look is really a secondary argument.
I repeat for emphasis: Young healthy people, struggling to get going in life need health insurance like a hole in the head. If they really need to see a doctor they can go to a doctor and just pay on the way out. Obamacare forces them to subsidize those who want to pay less than cost for their doctor visits. Not fair.
I never forget Newt dressing down Chris Wallace during a debate and the little creep all he could do was look stupid
Newt would says something like “Show me where in the Constitution it says the Federal Government shall provide health care for it’s citizens?”
there is no chaos, if your other than white, go to any emergency room, wait 4 hrs, you see a doctor, you walk out. Free health care, really simple.
