I’m flying the National Color, the Marine Corps Standard, the Gadsden Flag and First Navy Jack.
I’m still proud of Our Nation and Our Corps but I still want to send a message of my disdain for our current administration by flying the Gadsden and the Jack....

We moved a few years ago and now are in an apartment so I don’t have a flagpole. However we do decorate our balcony with US flags and many others in our complex do as well.
When we moved I was concerned because this is a very blue collar area but it turns out to be fairly conservative.
At my house I had Gadsdens ripped down but here...no problem!
Capt. Barnett recommended this idea and you reminded me. What are we supposed to wait for? IRS agents throwing flash grenades in my living room before we signal distress?! I’m doing it too!
I just ordered An Appeal to Heaven flag. Aka ‘Pine Tree Flag’ and Washington’s Cruisers flag. I think it is extremely relevant at this time...

You do it your way and I’ll do it mine. I don’t see any significant difference between Republicans or Democrats either. It’s a bonding thing. I’m equally immune at being called racist or unpatriotic, just buzzwords cast about by the previously mentioned identical Dems/Pubs. I know what my ancestors fought for.

If I am somewhere and in dire, life threatening conditions and signal via an inverted flag, what is to make someone know it’s life threatening and not just how I feel about the situation?

No. They did not die for the flag; they died for what IT IS SUPPOSED TO stand for, and it is the political class that no longer respects the foundations for which the flag stands.
That’s where the disrespect is and that’s why the ship of state is in distress.
I understand how you think, I disagree that the symbolism lacks any importance; but the symbolism is more than mere symbolism “among ourselves” and is a signal to our fellow citizens that yes, “we” are in distress and need to help each other work to right the ship of state; it is a signal to end complacency, to end the thinking that “others will do it”, to end the thinking that we are not in fact capable of rising above the aims of the political class.
