Go Figure… Richard Trumka: Rightwing Uses “Freedom” to “Dupe Public” [Union Thug]
GatewayPundit ^ | July 3, 2012 | Jim Hoft

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka celebrates Independence Day today by bashing freedom. The Examiner reported:

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka has a 4th of July-themed column in the Huffington Post musing on the word freedom and how it is interpreted by the Republican Party. His conclusion is that they use the word to con people.

Let’s call this right-wing “freedom” catch phrase what it really is: a grossly political strategy to dupe the public, which holds the word “freedom” as something sacred.

I'll be hoping for a coincidence that the same day Union Construction Workers are pouring the Foundation for a new Sports Arena, Trunka will be reported as missing.

Best part!!

Membership in the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees – Wisconsin’s second-largest public-sector union – was cut in half when members were given the “freedom” to choose to belong to the union or not.

Bwahhhhhh!

To put it another way: freedom is just another word for not having to pay union dues.

Interesting thing is that Trumka started out as an ‘insurgent’ anti-Tony Boyle leader in the UMW. No one asks him how well the Mahdi's environmental agenda is serving his ‘union brothers’ that are in the coal or power generation industry. My father, life long trade unionist and president of his union local, used to tell me it was the business of unions to look after the material interests of their members and that people who sounded like evangelists in union garb were either fools, communists or frauds . In Trumka’s case apparently all three at once.

I have been personally threatened by union thugs, the first time when I was still in high school. Unions are the exact opposite of liberty, and I still consider them the mortal enemies of freedom, as do most people who have encountered their thugs.

By today’s laws and mindset, Richard Trumka’s leadership of the United Mineworker’s ‘88/’89 strike involved many terrorist actions. Trumka is a for real terrorist.

This guys definition of freedom includes taking away the secret ballot, strong arming members, taking other people’s money and not giving them a say on how it is spent. Sounds like a typical democrat, union thug who uses his freedom to take away other’s individual freedom

Imagine....

A Union Boss accusing somebody else of “duping the public”......

Cuz the union is only there to “protect worker’s rights”.....

They wouldn’t think of lining their own pockets, paying political bribes, threatening competing businesses, or actually doing harm to anyone who might oppose them.....

Trumka’s idea of freedom is an Obamacare waiver.

What a shocker...the thoroughly communist CIO thinks freedom is tyranny.

What is the difference between the operations of one of these unions and the operations of a mob? How is Richard Trumka different than Jon Gotti?

Despite my often inflammatory invective, and notwithstanding my bulging verbal biceps, I'm actually (in real life) a very easy-going, live-and-let-live kind of guy. Very compassionate and sympathetic as well as insightfully introspective... though not gay.

But if there is one guy I'd like to rapidly and repeatedly introduce to my knuckles it's "Little Dick" Trumka. Rarely in this life will any more eminently punchable sphincter have a mug so obviously made for stomping into pulp.

Now, far be it from me to encourage or condone violence, but wouldn't his nose make a great "T-Ball"?

I thought so too...

Never forget that Obama believes in a quasi-fascist type of government where large unions controlled by the state run most corporations...

Trumka would be one of our overlords in Obama wet dreams...

Trumka’s idea of freedom is an Obamacare waiver.

That says a lot. The trouble with Trumka and his ilk is that they never really got what America was all about. Like so many others, they see America as a place where you can make a lot of money and do what you please. They also make the common mistake of confounding money and power. Since these guys haven't scored a big pile, they naturally fall into the notion that America is a playground for rich people who walk all over everyone else - or will if Americans aren't chained in certain ways.

Add to that the notion that rights are a grant from the government, and you've got the mindset of the typical American liberal. To Trumka and his kind, Independence Day is the day you retire. Liberty means the government adding its muscle to your desires. Good government means government spending. [And yet, it's not they that are venal ;) ]

He sounds just like Marx, who considered “liberty” to be nothing but a lie of the bourgeoisie.

Humm. First Argentina’s lady socialist says equality far outweighs liberty and now Trumka pans “unnecessary” freedom. Equality must be paired with liberty to not be oppressive. Equality must be of opportunity and a beginning point not an enforced and stagnant human condition. We must remember Mao’s communes.
