Yes, and no. The numbers Snopes gave were from a Medicare Trustees Report. The increases mentioned in this article may not be true (probably not). Yes, The ACA did not address Medicare rates, however, what it did address was stealing a half a billion dollars from Medicare (remember, this is OUR money, not their’s). So, with less monies to work with, how are they going to recoup that large loss of funding without either raising rates or lowering even more physician’s fees, or both? But as to addressing the unfounded report in this article, they are right.
