LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Brad Pitt has long been an advocate for gay rights (initially vowing to hold off on marrying longtime love Angelina Jolie until gay marriage became legal nationwide), but his mother, Jane Pitt, apparently takes a different stance on the issue.
In a letter penned for her local newspaper, Jane urged Christian voters not to be put off by candidate Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith, as he still maintains conservative views in line with Christian beliefs despite his differing religion — including his posture on gay marriage and abortion.
“I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon,” she wrote in the opinion piece for The Springfield News-Leader this week.
Jane added that “any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”
While the letter may seem harsh to some, Brad has previously said his mother means no harm.
“She’s very, very loving — very open, genuine, and it’s hilarious because she always gets painted in the tabloids as a she-devil,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview back in January. “There’s not an ounce of malice in her.
“She wants everyone to be happy,” the actor noted.

He believes that he is entitled to First Amendment Rights on Jim Robinson's conservative website, and he believes that the Republican nominee is so much entitled to conservative votes that he equates refusing to oblige with "voting for Obama." It is very much along the same line of thinking that defines nixing an increase in a budget, as a budget "cut."

In the real world where adults live, voting "against" is sophistry. Sad but true -- when it comes to the ballot box, you can only vote FOR something. Even on propositions, you vote FOR passing it, or you vote FOR nixing it. You cannot vote "against" Obama -- you can only vote FOR someone else to prevent him from winning. The guy you're on the verge of voting FOR is a documented liberal who has promoted and advanced every single major liberal agenda.
In the real world, your vote "against" Obama is a vote FOR cap-and-trade global warming regulation, government-run health insurance with on-demand abortion, the homosexual agenda, and activist judges.
I know that I cannot vote against either Obama or Romney, and I know one of them is destined to win. It's why I'm voting FOR a plurality to deny a popular-vote mandate for the next president. I'm voting third party because I'm voting FOR helping conservatives the only way I can with my top-of-the-ticket choice.

I disagree. Romney has done nothing worth praise in his life. He has devoted great time to a FALSE Christianity in the form of Mormonism (real dung of the worst sort), he has been pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, and is a statist (government control of everything). His life is so much dung (excrement). There is nothing about him to “love.”
He does not warrant “Christian” charity, other than to pray for his soul. In reference to his Mormonism (which I know most here don’t care to discuss) the Bible is clear. The Apostle Paul in writing to the Christians in Galatia said....”there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received. ‘let him be accursed.” BTW - “accursed” in the original Greek is Anathema - “accursed by God.” Romney, because of his false beliefs which he has spread vigorously...is already accursed of God. Only to publically forsake those beliefs and belief the real Gospel can save him. I won’t help put a cultist in the seat of POTUS where he can do more to further the evil that is Mormonism.
His views on abortion are so convoluted and he constantly changes his “view” to suit the time. The man is a horrific liar...knowingly so...it is in his nature.
He did NOTHING to stop homosexual marriage in Mass. as the chief executive....his time there is dung. He has already been clear he will do NOTHING to at a minimum reinstate DADT that was foisted on the military by a lame duck congress. He has NO proper moral center.

Personally, I don’t worship any “man” either. However, I am thankful for Jim Robinson and Free Republic. Although, I sometimes cannot wonder why he tolerates you ilk. You must have been more sensible in an earlier time...and he gives you a pass for that.
