Brad Pitt's Mother Slams Obama, Gay Marriage
Access Hollywood ^ | July 6, 2012 | Access Hollywood/Staff

Posted on 07/07/2012 3:19:37 PM PDT by pistolpackinpapa

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Brad Pitt has long been an advocate for gay rights (initially vowing to hold off on marrying longtime love Angelina Jolie until gay marriage became legal nationwide), but his mother, Jane Pitt, apparently takes a different stance on the issue.

In a letter penned for her local newspaper, Jane urged Christian voters not to be put off by candidate Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith, as he still maintains conservative views in line with Christian beliefs despite his differing religion — including his posture on gay marriage and abortion.

“I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon,” she wrote in the opinion piece for The Springfield News-Leader this week.

Jane added that “any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”

While the letter may seem harsh to some, Brad has previously said his mother means no harm.

“She’s very, very loving — very open, genuine, and it’s hilarious because she always gets painted in the tabloids as a she-devil,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview back in January. “There’s not an ounce of malice in her.

“She wants everyone to be happy,” the actor noted.

Using too much botox leaves you in a condition where you can't tell if people are unfriendly.

Pretend for a moment that botox didn't exist.

The ABOs were allowed to pontificate but not lambast the Conservative majority. Those days are over when you could come in here and tell people that if they didn't vote so and so then you were going to he((. Does not compute.

No matter what you say, objectively, staying home, or voting write in, is a vote for obama.

Mathematically and materially FALSE. A non-vote or a third-party vote favors neither Romney nor Obama. No matter what you feel -- and that is all it is, is emotional feeling, that is the truth.

There's only one way you can vote for Obama, and that is to mark his name on your ballot. PERIOD.

There is also only one way you can vote for government tyranny, and ABOers are on the verge of doing it.

FR Freak, no dems is just exhibiting how much he unwittingly embraces the entitlement mentality.

He believes that he is entitled to First Amendment Rights on Jim Robinson's conservative website, and he believes that the Republican nominee is so much entitled to conservative votes that he equates refusing to oblige with "voting for Obama." It is very much along the same line of thinking that defines nixing an increase in a budget, as a budget "cut."

No dems' handle is only half accurate.

You got it . Thanks to the country club again ....... I’m voting for the lesser of 2 evils . Laying down dont work for me and frankly if elected officials were not compensated we would not be in this position and less we forget the vote buying .
I’ll be puking when I do but I’m doing it because like you said . The vote has to count for something and if all I get out of it is to kill my neighbors vote then that’s what I got . Aint no call to make for me .

...in the real world where the adults live ...

... voting "against" Obama by voting for Romney, is voting for making the Republican party capitulate to the liberal agenda.

In the real world where adults live, voting "against" is sophistry. Sad but true -- when it comes to the ballot box, you can only vote FOR something. Even on propositions, you vote FOR passing it, or you vote FOR nixing it. You cannot vote "against" Obama -- you can only vote FOR someone else to prevent him from winning. The guy you're on the verge of voting FOR is a documented liberal who has promoted and advanced every single major liberal agenda.

In the real world, your vote "against" Obama is a vote FOR cap-and-trade global warming regulation, government-run health insurance with on-demand abortion, the homosexual agenda, and activist judges.

I know that I cannot vote against either Obama or Romney, and I know one of them is destined to win. It's why I'm voting FOR a plurality to deny a popular-vote mandate for the next president. I'm voting third party because I'm voting FOR helping conservatives the only way I can with my top-of-the-ticket choice.

I don't know her, I don't know Brad Pitt and I don't care what celebrities or their parents think. It's not news and it was posted at least 6 times in a couple of days.

Why do you care what she thinks? Do you care what Brad Pitt thinks? I never said or even implied that I agreed or disagreed with anything she said because I didn't read it. It had become annoying by the 6th time it was posted.

That’s pretty rich coming from someone who is willing to surrender the Republican party to the liberal agenda, just to avoid a confrontation with Obama. Your vote for Romney is a vote to tuck tail and surrender to liberalism.

“Romney who has been weak in some of his convictions, is certainly not a piece of crap. That is the type of unchristain junk that conservatives with little real love say.”

I disagree. Romney has done nothing worth praise in his life. He has devoted great time to a FALSE Christianity in the form of Mormonism (real dung of the worst sort), he has been pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, and is a statist (government control of everything). His life is so much dung (excrement). There is nothing about him to “love.”

He does not warrant “Christian” charity, other than to pray for his soul. In reference to his Mormonism (which I know most here don’t care to discuss) the Bible is clear. The Apostle Paul in writing to the Christians in Galatia said....”there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received. ‘let him be accursed.” BTW - “accursed” in the original Greek is Anathema - “accursed by God.” Romney, because of his false beliefs which he has spread vigorously...is already accursed of God. Only to publically forsake those beliefs and belief the real Gospel can save him. I won’t help put a cultist in the seat of POTUS where he can do more to further the evil that is Mormonism.

His views on abortion are so convoluted and he constantly changes his “view” to suit the time. The man is a horrific liar...knowingly so...it is in his nature.

He did NOTHING to stop homosexual marriage in Mass. as the chief executive....his time there is dung. He has already been clear he will do NOTHING to at a minimum reinstate DADT that was foisted on the military by a lame duck congress. He has NO proper moral center.

His statism is glaringly self-evident. With him at the helm of state, everything will continue to be brought under government control...just like it is under Obama.

The man’s life is dung. His lies are dung. He is dung. It would be a horrible lie to say anything less. It would in fact be “unchristian” if one truly cares for the souls of men.

Don’t defend him, he doesn’t deserve any.

Been at this 35 years Jim and I still have only 1 choice in this election.

I've been at it for 36 years. This will be the FIRST TIME I will decline a Republican on the ballot, and I have voted in every primary and every general since 1976. I also finally figured out the difference between "choices" and "outcomes." Hint: There's only going to be 1 outcome -- Romney or Obama. But YOU, Ben, just like me, have many choices as to how to cast your vote at the top of the ticket.

One of those choices has the best potential of helping conservatism and weakening liberalism. The thing is that in order to use it to do that, you must forfeit any say in whether Obama or Romney wins. That's the price of voting FOR a plurality. The price you are willing to pay to vote "against" Obama is voting FOR making liberalism stronger in both parties.

How long will it take you to recognize when you're fulfilling Einstein's Definition of Insanity? I'll be frank -- I didn't figure it out until after Arnold Schwarzenegger. I learned something valuable from him, and now I am applying what I've learned.

Eternal Vigilance was spot on when he pointed out a day or two ago with regard to Romney vs Obama: "Heads they win, tails we lose."

And you're taking that "bet."

Sorry, FRiend, I'll agree to disagree on opinions, but math aint' opinionating.

The Democrat big dogs all have a mad bomber on their staffs. Obama has BIll Ayers. The Algore had Brent Kimberlin, and he may well be on Obama's staff as well these days. BIll Clinton pardoned a garage band full of Puerto Rican bombers. Lurch had this guy left over from his Swift Boat days ~ he'll swear to anything for Lurch, and maybe do anything he wants.

What these bombers are for I don't know, but maybe for street cred in certain circles.

Then there's Arthur Bremmer. DOJ let him loose. Squeaky Fromme was also freed by DOJ. John HIncley is out, again courtesy of DOJ. Only one of the free range killers I can think of right off hand who is not out is Sirhan Sirhan.

So, who let all those folks loose? What was their intention?

Think about it, all the top dogs over on the Democrat side of the equation have close associations with mad bombers, and somebody else has been turning loose people who shot at non-Democrat candidates for president.

I really want to ask WHO the Democrats really are these days but it's pretty obvious they ARE a branch of organized crime of some kind. Else these friends of theirs would be too dangerous to be near.

It is conceivable that any candidate can be removed from the election by these people.

Sure, we can agree to disagree, and furthermore, I sympathize more than you know. I'm as scared of Obama as you are. But I remember John Wayne's definition of courage -- "being afraid but saddling up anyway."

Sure, I can agree to disagree. Just understand that my determination will remain the same to point out the cost of "ousting Obama" your way -- that a vote "against" Obama is a vote FOR making the Republican Party turn hard left with Romney.

FRiend, you must take responsiblity for what you're about to vote FOR.

There is such a thing as "buyer's remorse," and a pretty smart FReeper has predicted that if Romney wins, ABOers will have the worst case of buyer's remorse in American history.
