Brad Pitt's Mother Slams Obama, Gay Marriage

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Brad Pitt has long been an advocate for gay rights (initially vowing to hold off on marrying longtime love Angelina Jolie until gay marriage became legal nationwide), but his mother, Jane Pitt, apparently takes a different stance on the issue.

In a letter penned for her local newspaper, Jane urged Christian voters not to be put off by candidate Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith, as he still maintains conservative views in line with Christian beliefs despite his differing religion — including his posture on gay marriage and abortion.

“I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon,” she wrote in the opinion piece for The Springfield News-Leader this week.

Jane added that “any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”

While the letter may seem harsh to some, Brad has previously said his mother means no harm.

“She’s very, very loving — very open, genuine, and it’s hilarious because she always gets painted in the tabloids as a she-devil,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview back in January. “There’s not an ounce of malice in her.

“She wants everyone to be happy,” the actor noted.

“Don’t threaten me punk unless you want to see a friggin’ lawsuit against Free Republic for censorship and violation of my First Amendment Rights. Now, you want to pursue this? Bring it on!!!”

You do not have the right to spout your head off on private property.
FR is private property.
The owner has the right to determien what language he allows in his establishment/premises/accomodations.
Your first amendment rights have not been violated.
If you decide to pursue it, expect to be laughed at.

You mean vitriol like No Dems had where he threatened FR with a frivolous lawsuit?
FR is private property, the owner can tell you to get lost if he doesn’t like what you said.
Try and push homosexual marriage, or other liberal clap trap.
Go ahead, scream about your First Amendment rights while doing it.

Holy moly bat man! One of the most zottable things you can do at F.R., start threatening people with law suits......and of all things, about his “first amendment rights”.

You’d think he had been around long enough to know better than that. Maybe he should be sued for being stupid.

Anybody that ignorant doesn’t have to be sued. His ignorance will get him into enough trouble, all caused by himself.

It’s too bad stupidity isn’t illegal, but good thing it burns.

LOL! That’s just dang funny, Col.

It’s a shame that many people do not know that the Constitution restrains government and empowers the people. Our founding fathers were well aware that government, unchecked, always becomes tyranny.

And we have made the gross error of electing (or allowing cheaters to elect) a regime instead of an administration. This regime is lawless, traitorous, and dictatorial. I pray it is not too late to cleanse our country of it and its stink.

Cool! Here’s the Preamble to the Constitution Party’s Platform:

— Constitution Party National Platform Preamble —

The Constitution Party gratefully acknowledges the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as Creator, Preserver and Ruler of the Universe and of these United States. We hereby appeal to Him for mercy, aid, comfort, guidance and the protection of His Providence as we work to restore and preserve these United States.

This great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been and are afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.

The goal of the Constitution Party is to restore American jurisprudence to its Biblical foundations and to limit the federal government to its Constitutional boundaries.

The Constitution of these United States provides that “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.” The Constitution Party supports the original intent of this language. Therefore, the Constitution Party calls on all those who love liberty and value their inherent rights to join with us in the pursuit of these goals and in the restoration of these founding principles.

The U.S. Constitution established a Republic rooted in Biblical law, administered by representatives who are Constitutionally elected by the citizens. In such a Republic all Life, Liberty and Property are protected because law rules.

We affirm the principles of inherent individual rights upon which these United States of America were founded:

That each individual is endowed by his Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are the rights to life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness;
That the freedom to own, use, exchange, control, protect, and freely dispose of property is a natural, necessary and inseparable extension of the individual’s unalienable rights;
That the legitimate function of government is to secure these rights through the preservation of domestic tranquility, the maintenance of a strong national defense, and the promotion of equal justice for all;
That history makes clear that left unchecked, it is the nature of government to usurp the liberty of its citizens and eventually become a major violator of the people’s rights; and
That, therefore, it is essential to bind government with the chains of the Constitution and carefully divide and jealously limit government powers to those assigned by the consent of the governed.

Quite a spicy thread. I think everyone should back away from the keyboard and go outside for a nice walk.

Amen to that.
