Hey, if she’s good enough for BJ Clintoon, she’s good enough for Eliot Spitzer!

There are some interesting numbers below....at some point its gonna start looking like a “bank run” ...which is essentially what it is...

The Feds are desperately worried some of the 50% of the population they uses as cash cows to help them fund their delusions are catching on...and leaving....

“Last year, almost 1,800 people followed Superman’s lead, renouncing their U.S. citizenship or handing in their Green Cards. That’s a record number since the Internal Revenue Service began publishing a list of those who renounced in 1998. It’s also almost eight times more than the number of citizens who renounced in 2008, and more than the total for 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined.”

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/04/16/us-usa-citizen-renounce-idUSBRE83F0UF20120416

Even more alarming....in 1997 the list was ONLY 90 people renouncing...so that year, 2011, it was TWENTY times greater that in 1997...

Don’t be surprised when you see wealthy ex-congresscritters leave for good.

The elites are jumping ship, they’ve made their fortunes, and their slogan has become, FUUSA.

If you think that giving up citizenship will stop the donations from foreigner to American political campaigns, you are sadly mistaken about the level of corruption in both political parties.

Doesn’t take much to imagine John Kerry(who served in Vietnam) renouncing his US Citizenship to avoid taxes.....Kinda like having your Yacht docked in another state lovey...

Denise Rich was very fond of Billy Jeff Clintoon, as we recall. Clinton was persuaded by her very generous checks to go easy on her criminal hubby.

Bill has a trust set up in Haiti which has even more stringent secrecy than Switzerland.

The Rich have always fled when it suited them. Best not to judge them for doing what most of us cannot even consider (but I still find myself wanting to!).

I guess some FReepers are The Rich as well, since we hear declarations of their plans to go expat on this failed country.

That settles it! When I become rich I’m moving to foreign country! Idaho or maybe Oregon. No,no,no...California.
Yeah, I know California isn’t a foreign country but it may be by the time I’m rich.

Why California? Why not? It has some beautiful country and the rich live well no matter where they are.

Not only was Marc Rich pardoned, but his $150 million tab with the IRS was pardoned as well.

They should throw this hypocrisy back in Clinton’s face, after he pardoned criminal Marc Rich for money. Tax cheats who now trade in their citizenship.

This is after we heard Schumer lecture people are fleeing the country for tax reasons.

Will Obama pardon Tony Reszko, the felon that bought him a house?

Oh, I'm sure he has a whole stack of pre-written pardons in the desk, and has his minions processing visas like crazy for countries that don't have an extradition agreement with the U.S.

Completely off topic, but offensive enough for a ping. A disgusting political figure like her ex, she's clearly a citizen, born here in 1944. Pop, who is the source of her citizenship, was Austrian. Don't know her family background but it's probable he came here during a period of stress back home. Things were a bit stressful for Jews in Europe at the time. A shameful act of ingratitude for what might have been her survival, even if not to the nation which made her rich. I sincerely hope the decision was made out of her desire to be a Euro, not for dollars, which seem insignificant.

To Bubba and Eric Holder, good taste in friends.
