Hiroshima and Detroit: The Damage Democrats Do to the Poor Lasts Longer Than a Nuclear Bomb

Posted by Bio ↓ on Jul 9th, 2012 Comments ↓

What happened to the radiation that lasts thousands of years?

HIROSHIMA 1945

We all know that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed in August 1945 after the explosion of atomic bombs. However, we know little about the progress made by the people of that land during the past 65 years.

HIROSHIMA – 67 YEARS LATER

DETROIT – 67 YEARS AFTER HIROSHIMA

What has caused more long term destruction - the A-bomb, or Government welfare programs created to buy the votes of those who want someone to take care of them?

Japan does not have a welfare system. Work for it or do without.

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you’ll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Those Detroit houses and their residents are sickening. The people are still far too lazy to do anything. Michigan is also a STRONGE bunch of stupid libs.

Liberals perform the societal, cultural and economic equivalent of salting the soil.

Except that at least the pictures with the giant ferris wheel are of Yokohama, not Hiroshima.

But the sentiment is true: Hiroshima today is a vibrant, modern and working city. Heck, they even had the trolley system running days after the blast.

They have specific areas that they use to show the comeback of Detroit. This post best befits the way the rest of the city really looks. Detroit elected Jerome Cavanaugh, Democrat, in 1961 and every mayor since then has been a Democrat. This is a perfect example of what happens when you run out of other people’s money.

The Japanese are amazing - they build such beautiful cities. Sorry to hear the ferris wheel’s in Yokohama - it’s a better story when it’s in Hiroshima - still, truth is better... Thanks for sharing.

I didn’t mean to take away from the OPs point. ALL of Japan is amazing. They are a truly resilient people. It so happens that I was there on vacation last year. I visited both Hiroshima and Yokohama, and took some pictures myself of Tokyo harbor from the Sky Garden atop Yokohama’s Landmark Tower (that’s the view of the ferris wheel from above) so that’s how I know.

Again, the sentiment is right. Hiroshima is very well alive. It’s just that it is a little more sedate than flashy Yokohama.

Look at the faces in Hiroshima, 1940 vis-a-vis today.
Then look at those of Detroit in 1940, and Detroit, today....

There is little to differentiate the faces in Hiroshima over the span of 70 years; the people look the same. Can the same be said for Detroit?
