W.H.: Obama will veto healthcare repeal
UPI ^ | July 9, 2012

WASHINGTON, July 9 (UPI) -- As the GOP-controlled U.S. House of Representatives prepared to vote on repeal of the Affordable Care Act, the White House said a repeal bill would be vetoed.

As with previous votes, action by the House -- scheduled for Thursday -- to repeal President Barack Obama's signature healthcare policy likely will go nowhere because the Democratic Senate won't consider it. In a statement Monday, the White House Office of Management and Budget said Obama would veto a repeal bill "because it would cost millions of hard-working middle class families the security of affordable health coverage and care they deserve. It would increase the deficit and detract from the work the Congress needs to do to focus on the economy and create jobs."

In a statement, the OMB said repealing the Affordable Care Act would mean "marketplaces where Americans could compare private insurance plans and get tax credits to purchase them would not open."

"Tax credits for small business owners who cover their employees would be eliminated," the statement said. "States would lose substantial Federal assistance under Medicaid to provide coverage for the neediest Americans."

In that case, it is time to veto 0bama.

Introduce the Articles of Impeachment. There are plenty of grounds upon which to do so.

Let the GOP leadership show us some ‘nads.

Oh wait. Never mind.

It’s unlikely the Senate will permit matters to come to this juncture. But if it did, it would be a helluva GOTV for Mitt Romney.

They certainly have a lot of work to do on that pile before they get to Health Care. Perhaps they should dust off the pile, go to the very bottom and start with Obama's sealed records. What they find may nullify the man's entire Presidency and that would be killing the whole flock of birds with one stone.

You won’t have to veto it bambi, Reid won’t let it even come up for a vote in the senate. If he does, then good, all the senators will be marked as either pro or con bambicare. That will come in handy in the next election.

We are 120 days from the general election. Forget impeachment. Fire his ass in 4 months.

Barack doesn’t want to give the middle class or anyone else (except maybe bums) “health care security.” What he wants to do is coerce them via taxes to purchase an inferior health care product at an inflated price. I wonder if it would be cheaper than the extra cost of Obamacare — I have a hunch it would — just to grant a mini-med health insurance plan to all unemployed.

The only way that they would impeach obama is if the media... a subsidiary of the dnc... demanded that they impeach obama... and that ain't ever going to happen.

The House then should draft a bill to repeal the hated individual mandate. What would Dems in the Senate do then, especially those in close contests?

Can the House refuse to fund it?

Attach a repeal of DeathCare amendment to EVERY SINGLE bill that goes to the Senate. Attach a repeal of DeathCare amendment to EVERY SINGLE bill that comes from the Senate.

True but the difference is the executive orders and the laws he passed will still stand if he is only “fired”. Only by impeachment and conviction will nullify everything he has done since the day he took the oath!

I'm tired of this Kabooki Dance by the GOP. They don't need to pass any bill to repeal it now, just don't fund any part of it and let it shrivel on the vine.
