Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't agree with Jim re Romney, but again, it's just competing opinions. As for the the idea that Jim is somehow screwing people by making money on Free Republic, even if he is, my response is so what! Free Republic is a great site. But it's not free to keep it up. Jim also puts time and effort in. Should he do so for free and pay to maintain the site so that others can post here?

This is a capitalist country. If Jim has found a way to make money with a web forum, I say good for him! It's not a 501(c)(3); donations are not tax deductible. There are no reporting requirements. People who want to support the site because they enjoy it are free to do so. Many who do enjoy it do not donate (myself among that latter group). For someone to get angry that Jim may be making money on this site, all I can say is that they are entitled to their opinion. As far as I am concerned, though, to me, they sound like the occupy protesters complaining that CEOs or corporations are making too much money and it's not fair.

Actually, if he turned this essay into me, a sixth grade English teacher, I would give him a 0. Every sentence must have a subject and a predicate. It must be a complete thought, able to stand on its own. One sentence fragment dooms the whole paper. The writer of this screed has more than one dependent clause pretending to be a thought.

My photobucket account down loaded 90000 times each month during the last freepathon. (based on data size of each picture over account band width allowance)
I’ve looked at the figures and they seem perfectly reasonable to me for the time that is put into the moderation of the site.
If there was a genuine problem I am sure there are many on here now who would have vanished long ago.
It’s simple if the politics and standing of the site don’t fit your view of the world, just go somewhere else. Have been on plenty of sites where the users make you want to drop a nuke for their own good. So you just move on.
Put your saddle on your horse and leave town.
