Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India. This revelation comes mere days after the Democratic chair attacked presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for holding money in Swiss bank accounts in the past.
"Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account and secretive investments like that?" the DNC chair, a chief surrogate for President Obama's reelection team, said on Fox News Sunday two days ago. "Just something, a thought, that I'd like to leave folks with."

I ceretainly hope that letter was actually drafted, sent and widely reported. If so, I missed it.
You really think a small amount of money put into a 401k is the same as proactively investing/parking millions of dollars into off shore/foreign accounts? I don’t. But I wasn’t really referring to what I think of DWS’ investments. I’m more interested in how MR and his handlers are managing this campaign.
It could also be I just despise MR so much I’m not seeing the ‘positive’ aspects of MR and how he’s running this campaign. I really do loathe MR. It’s so dang hard to even look at him let alone hear him speak. And maybe it’s just me, but why does he always appear to be hiding behind his wife when they have a joint interview?
Of courseI loathe BO more than MR (although it’s hard to see much dif between the two on many core issues). Gak. As bad as 2008 was...at least I could vote FOR someone and not feel like I had to go take a long shower to wash off the stench.

She is Debbie Wasserman Schultz, high profile chairperson of the Democrat National Committee.
As a professional politician for nearly twenty continuous years, she bloody well better know where her money's been going if she's going to cast aspersions on others.
Her father is a CPA so she shouldn't be a stranger to these things.
I get that you and I know who she is...and that you think she’s done the same thing as MR in parking her money outside the USA. Doesn’t mean the avg person on the street is going to see it the same. Also doesn’t mean that her stink clears the air for MR’s stink to be forgotten.
I would just like to have a candidate for President that I could be proud of and who wasn’t such a dang weasel. Really, is that too much to ask for? Whatever DWS has done here...doesn’t make MR a freaking hero.
Anyone invested in funds likely owns foreign investments. Most pooled pension plans invest in funds.
IOW everyone in Congress has foreign investments and much of the American public including government, fed, state, and city, employees.

She wasn’t “secreting Huge amounts of Cash in Swiss accounts.” She had money in a mutual fund that owned stck in a Swiss bank. No Swiss banks involved.
