While CNN initially panned Mitt Romney's Wednesday reception by the NAACP as "very negative," anchor Kyra Phillips was quite jovial about Joe Biden quoting scripture to the audience the next day.
A gleeful Phillips gushed that Biden "rolled out the scripture. He got spiritual on them, and they loved it! That is Joe Biden, we had to expect that." [Video coming soon. Audio here.]
CNN's initial reaction to the two speeches is telling. After Romney's speech, CNN focused on the boos he received and reported the reception as "very negative," even though he received plenty of applause as well as a standing ovation from many attendees at the end. Correspondent Jim Acosta did mention the applause in his report hours later.
However, Romney was also speaking to a heavily pro-Democratic group. After the Democrat Joe Biden addressed the NAACP, Phillips broke her stoic reporter's demeanor and raved over his reception as if it were noteworthy.
"Ana Navarro, you have strong opinions to why you think the President did not go and ask Joe Biden to stand in for him," she said to the GOP strategist. "Then you see a speech like this, you get a reaction like this, and you tend to think, okay, it looks like that was a pretty good decision to make."
Democratic strategist Donna Brazile chimed in that "it was a family reunion. Joe Biden, as I mentioned, is very familiar with this audience."
However, Phillips seemed to contradict herself later by asking if Obama made a mistake by not addressing the NAACP in person – even though she had just said it was a "pretty good decision" to have Biden speak instead.
"Is he [Obama] taking the African-American vote for granted just by doing a video message and letting his number two come and make the big speech today?" she asked Donna Brazile.
I see they failed to mention there was about 20 people there, the rest could not be bothered.
What else would anyone expect from CNN.

Joe Biden has been on the wrong side of every major issue since he was elected to the Senate(when Hector was a pup)!
His misunderstanding of those issues is positively uncanny.

They know Biden is a “Race Pimp” just like them.
A family reunion? I seriously doubt if Joe - or Hillary for that matter - would ever associate with Blacks if he weren’t Obama’s VP.
Given the size of Biden’s audience CNN should have reported that Romney got more applause than Biden.

Frankly, I think everyone is just out partying or shopping. How many people do you suppose are there on their own dime?
I have a much more descriptive vision of the media than mere ass-kissing; however, I suspect it would meet with disfavor from the moderators. Let’s just say that the CNN reporters words were so garbled, I’m surprised you could understand them at all.
And CNN (Communist News Network) can’t figure out why their ratings are in the gutter.

If people realize how much Obama is a fraud and how much this is going to lead to a printing of worthless government money to pay off crooks in the government and thus cause inflation, people would run on the banks. They would withdraw and that would be it.
The system and the corruption, as proven by CNN, inept congress and an Obama Union corrupted government of thugs, has made clear that this is virtual terminal until the value of the dollar is nearly zero.
There is no turning back from this unless they go to God or a compromise slash the way it was when with the Founding fathers. No amount of doctors, analysts and other “science” can fix this.
Hardly anyone showed up.
But the media wouldn’t report that.
No wonder Americans’ have low confidence in the ‘news’.
You can stand in a garage and that does not make you a car. Biden can stand and quote Scripture all day long and that does not make him a believer!

When a conservative quotes scripture, they are immediately branded as a zealot, and dismissed as someone who shouldn't hold office because they would be too influenced by their religious beliefs.
