Not if you consider Rice will SAVE THE NFL.

I think Liz Cheney would give him the best chance to win. I like how she calls a spade a spade in very rasonable, appealing manner.

I wonder whether Ryan would be heading Treasurey or Budget? That would be a better role for him than the neutered VP role.

At best, total misdirection.

At worst, it's a trial balloon and a feint to gauge Bobo's reactions.

For now, it's still Rubio.

Why not Rice? Foreign policy is a mess. She’d bring some know-how.

Yeah it’s there...hit refresh. If it’s Condi people will see it as an attempt at swaying black and female voters. I don’t like it, but she sure would wipe the floor in the VP debates.

I am not a big fan either, but at least they’d have a hard time calling her stupid.

Exactly correct. Yesterday, I think, Hannity was talking with John Sununu about the Veepstakes and Hannity put his plug in for his man crush candidate, Rubio and mentioned many others, then Sununu added Bob McDonnell to the list. Hannity had not mentioned McDonnell. Sununu also said Jindal was not mature enough at this time. Sununu seemed to be, in the know, if you ask me.

Given that (i) Romney has polled very competitively in VA throughout, (ii) the only VA poll in which Goode is at 9% was done by the Democrat PPP firm so as to prop up Obama’s candidacy, and (iii) Goode has not qualified for the ballot in VA, and qualifying for the ballot is famously difficult to do (10,000 signatures, at least 400 from each congressional district, and out-of-state petition workers are forbidden), it is risible that Romney would even consider writing off VA.

Romney does need VA, which, after adding NC, OH and FL (IN is in the bag), puts him at 266, needing only one more state (whether IA, CO, NV, WI, NH, or whatever) to win. You are correct that Romney needs a conservative to carry VA, but that’s also true for OH, NC and FL. I would also posit that picking a Protestant would help him a lot more with the Evangelical voters from whom he needs a large turnout than if he picked a Catholic. Frankly, I’m more concerned about OH than I am about VA, and believe that Romney should pick Rob Portman as his runningmate.

At least, Condi would have known this didn't say "Reset"

I like the idea. She’s got it all, brains and beauty, and would certainly look a lot better on my TV than mittens.

I say go for it.

Per Drudge, a few minutes ago, it is Condi Rice. I really don’t know that much about her ideological leanings. I just hope Romney didn’t just shoot himself in the foot. I will hold my nose and vote for him regardless. “O” has got to go.
We can sort out all the BS later.

Romney’s choice for VP?

Romney.

That way he’ll have both sides of every issue covered.

unfreakin believable condi “I voted communist guy last time” rice!!!!!

This will be a hard sell for the voters and an easy game for the media. "Let me get this straight, Dr. Rice, you're pairing up with Romney against the guy you voted for?" I hope Rice is willing to go negative on Obama: "Like so many moderate black voters, I chose Obama in 2008 for the symbolism. Having seen for four years what a massive mistake that was, I'm here to help give voters a better option for 2012." Good luck with this one, Mitt, you'll need it.

Note: If this trial balloon pops, I hope Mitt will do something truly unique - choose based on ability and not demographics.
