Not that it matters to you...

You noticed...how quaint.

Of course, your lessers (those folk how haven't your keen sense of observation) are still pushing Rubio.

May I transfer their calls to you? Perhaps you can enlighten them?

FReepers, fasten your seatbelts, because I'm going to say a couple of complimentary things about Condi.

I saw her speak a few years ago, on foreign relations in a general sense (emphasis on the Mideast, of course), at, of all places, the Jesse Helms Center at Wingate University, about 30 miles southeast of Charlotte. I've got to say she has stage presence. She had the (very conservative) audience wrapped around her finger by the end of her speech. And she was extraordinarily sharp in her answers to questions from the audience, which she was gracious enough to take after her speech. She knew her stuff, she was of course 100% loyal to W., and she was obviously intelligent.

I like Condi, some ideological positions notwithstanding. A cabinet appointment by President Romney might be a fine idea -- he'll have to throw a bone or two to the moderates, after all.

But Veep? No. And I'm convinced that the Romney brain trust knows that he needs to lean to the right for his running mate choice. The Condi thing is a ruse, not even rising to the "trial balloon" category, intended only to indicate that he's being inclusive in his considerations.

Meh, no Bushie’s please. But . . history has made it clear the VP pick makes little to no difference so it really doesn’t matter.

This is surprising.

No. This is spin. But, then, you can't spell "surprising" without "spin," can you?

Respectfully, that’s not true. I’m Hispanic and my ancestors settled into New Mexico (then New Spain) more than 500 years ago from Spain. I’m going to vote Republican regardless of the VP, but legal Hispanics are the fastest-growing demographic and we need to educate them on our ideas. A large percentage who have lived here for generations, don’t approve of amnesty or open borders but sympathize with children caught up by their parent’s choices—highlighted in Rubio’s plan to address the problem. Hispanics are the largest legal “minority” group, larger than blacks and growing the fastest of any group.

Dear God in Heaven - NO!!!! Romney's bad enough, adding Condi to the mix would kill his campaign and hand Obama a second term in office.

“If debating skills are so important, why is Romney on the ticket instead of Newt?”

Beats the hell out me. I was just commenting on somebody pounding Slo-Jo, that’s all.

If we were putting up our debaters against theirs, Newt’s the man.

Yep, looks more and more like he wants to lose, just like McCain... At least McCain's VP pick energized the base.
If she's his pick all the base will do is yawn.

Apparently the powers that be have figured out that Sara Palin provided the votes that kept McPain from being totally trashed.
Since those same powers have black listed Mrs. Palin, they have to consider another popular female with an "R" behind her name.
Bonus if she is black and has some executive creds...like Sec of State.
Beliefs or politics? Who cares, the perceived dots have been connected.

I admire Ms. Rice. She's got smarts, style, guts, and seems to be in charge of her own destiny. Although you might disagree with her stance on "choice" or her concept of "best interests" of the USA, you can't deny her being exceptional.

But; the idea that she would do what Sara Palin did not do (push a string up the hill in order to win the election for another GOP elite selected liberal) is concrete proof that we need a third party for 2116.
A third party with just a standard amount of spine, at least a half load of brains...
But with changed locks.

“a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!”

Perfect—an Obummer supporter as VP on a Romney ticket.

Puke.

My wife had her book club over this evening and I interrupted their serious discussion to show them the Drudge headline on my lap top. This group of Chapel Hill moderate liberals all said that they would vote for Romney just to have a woman as VP. One even said that it would take the guilt out of voting against Obama if they could vote for “another black”.

Romney must have done a lot of polling like this to discover the appeal to libs to “transfer” the Obama vote to a black female.

One woman said that Condi is “supremely qualified” having been the Provost Chief Academic Officer) at Stanford and SoS. Interesting insight.

I guess Romney figured that the pick-up in people like my wife’s friends more than offset the loss of the FR vote.

This cynical consultant driven racist and sexist ploy would be played as "adding depth in foreign policy experience."

People call Romney a Pro Abort. Rice makes him look like an amateur in that category. No Condi, No Way.

“The upcoming elections loom as one of the most important in my lifetime,” she warned. “I’m very often asked to speak about our current foreign policy and the challenges that lie before us. However, we, as a country, are not going to be able to address any of those international challenges unless we first get our domestic house in order.”

What exciting and historical times we live in! I couldn’t agree more, our domestic house is in DIRE need of a good cleaning! If Obama wins again, I’m headed for the hills.
