Still spreading disinformation that borders as libel.

This is just bullsh1t policing.

All these knobs ought to be fired. If they are going to be running around with lethal weapons and are so freaking indifferent to getting things wrong, heads must roll. They are murdering innocent citizens under color of law.

This sh1t has to be stopped and I hope the next cop team that gets it wrong get taken down by the innocent citizen defending himself.

These cops should have NO PROTECTION for not announcing. What the hell is an innocent citizen to reasonably assume? Not the freaking COPS busting in that’s for damn sure.

In my state if they come in unannounced the homeowner is protected if they fire on them. Of course they may claim they announced even if they did not. That’s where a person’s security cameras and recording gear have to come into play. And its unfortunate you have to have it but nowadays you do.

Of course, too, the new rule is if you don’t have plans for someone coming over, you don’t open the door for anyone.

If they claim they are cops you call 911 and confirm it.

Other job opportunities?

How about jail time for murder?

Almost every department has shifted rules of engagement so that they can do whatever they deem necessary to prevent officer injury.

Preventing officer injury trumps anything else now. This is why they shoot first and figure out their f*ck-ups later.

Yes but in the middle of the night he may have not been thinking as clear as he may normally did when he was fully awake and alert.

I would not have opened the door, would have had my gun and been confirming they were actual cops.

It will be ‘justified’, the police never admit they are wrong.

Wait and see if the "hot pursuit" thingee is invoked.

Bets anyone?

You got that right. “Officer safety” is now the mostest importantest thing of all. As long as they followed “procedure” they’re in the clear. Nobody ever asks if “procedure” is depleted uranium density stupid or not.....

You got that right! Anyone remember when the FBI agent shot the Eagle Scout for wearing a seatbelt? Then his bosses intimidated the investigators.

There is entirely too much of this occurring. Another incompetent a-hole with a badge gets away with murder because he "made a mistake".

Then we'll try to find a way to blame it on the homeowner.

Also note that it was a fusillade, not a single shot.

Thanks for the reminder. It’s disturbing how that attitude has spread over the last decade.

Yes it is. It is even more disturbing that so many people blindly accept these acts.

Note that the murder suspect is still alive, an innocent man is dead.
