So she's claiming that the different standards endanger children on the basis of - no data at all, just emotional bull$#!t.

Unless she means that a misdemeanor shoving-match from 20 years ago should forever disqualify one from CCW.

Being a [not very] useful idiot, she probably "thinks" your NEIGHBOR being in a shoving match 20 years ago should disqualify you.

They used the typical technique of anecdotal evidence of abuse. They cited a few cases where people had licenses revoked in one state, got a license in another state and then were involved in an accident. It was all for increasing federal control, but as usual, was sold as a “safety” issue.

I believe it was essentially aimed at creating a defacto national ID.
