Welfare: As if being "food stamp president" weren't enough, Barack Obama's administration is partnering with the Mexican government to make sure Mexican nationals living in the U.S. don't miss out. Ay caramba!
On Wednesday, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., who's been pushing for reform of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, sent a letter to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack asking for details of our partnership agreement with Mexico to promote food stamp use, including whether we are looking the other way in cases of illegal aliens.
The partnership agreement goes back to 2004, so Obama administration defenders will no doubt say if there's anything amiss it must be President George W. Bush's fault. But just as food stamp use has skyrocketed here under President Obama, so too have marketing efforts in cooperation with Mexico. Is this an attempt to motivate the president's Hispanic base?
Sessions seeks documents such as the memoranda of understanding between the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Mexican government regarding the food assistance partnership. Sessions seeks a list of all programs, meetings and other activities designed to promote enrollment, as well as internal documents regarding strategies to increase enrollment, and copies of all brochures, posters and other literature.
He also asks a few pertinent questions, such as how many "noncitizen immigrants" have been enrolled in SNAP in each of the last 10 years and whether the Mexican government is distributing SNAP outreach information within its own borders in addition to its consular offices in the U.S.
Is this information being distributed to aid Mexican nationals who have come to America, or is it being used as a giant carrot to promote more to come? And isn't it a premise of our immigration policy that those who immigrate to the U.S. be able

Control the mobs food supply you control the mob.
You are right, that is how North Korea is ruled, from what I understand. The destruction continues. Anyone who doesn’t believe Obama is not on a mission to totally destroy the country is a fool.
I went to Walmart. I hate it there. Anyway I got to counting fat people. I counted 66 before I left. At least 50% using food stamp debit cards! They should get up and report to public service at 8 AM and work until 5 for those food stamps and welfare and then they would not be so fat. We have many things for them to do including running their own day care. Soon many will flee to real jobs now held by illegal who will then flee back into Mexico. Awesome twofer.
This story really deserves a lot of attention. Whenever you hear anyone, republican or democrat talking about how we have to get the Hispanic vote, think of this. This is how they buy the Hispanic vote by giving them anything they want at our expense!
There’s a prison in South America that gives prisoners credit for good behavior for riding a stationary bike hooked to generators to make power for the town. We should do the same here for welfare and the folks who say they are disabled but have two working legs. It’s renewable power and helps them stay healthy.
I do not want my taxpayer dollars being spent on food stamps for Mexico or for that matter to educate their children.
Mexico should be paying us or supporting their citizens. Their should be a vote on what we want to pay for and what we don’t.
I know silly idea and it would never happen, but it would be nice to have a choice. We’ve lost our freedom of choice!
wonderful idea. Anything but sitting and eating bon bons and watching Hell and Degenerate on subsidized cable tv.
It’s “green”, it’s scalable, it is “work for food” and flexible in scheduling.

Obama knows who his base is and it’s not you.
Now pay your taxes - Mexicans that hate you need the money. :)
