Prediction: By 8:00 PM on November 6, 2012 the presidential election will be called for Romney

Whenever the IRS is involved everyone knows its job is to collect taxes, taxes, taxes. What the IRS will be doing with the health care bill is to collect yet another tax. That is what the IRS does by definition. That is its purpose and has always been so. If voters have a choice to get rid of the IRS out of their lives, it will not be hard to divine what they will choose.

If the health care bill is not a tax, why is the IRS enforcing it?

When people think of the IRS, what first comes to mind? Taxes and nothing but taxes. Then they think of levies, fines and maybe jail. President Obama wants us to believe that the IRS is now going to be concerned about our health. Decades of the worst of abuses of the citizenry by the IRS will not fool the ordinary citizen into thinking this health care bill is good for his health.

Everyone, absolutely everyone, who is told the IRS will make them buy health insurance is conditioned to view the IRS as a tax enforcer. This has been so for many decades. Everyone hates the IRS.

This is not a winnable PR war for the democrats to convince ordinary citizens that the IRS gives a damn about them because it never has. They will never convince people that this health care bill is a gift from heaven when the mafia goons of the IRS are going to break kneecaps if you do not buy the insurance. That is more like extortion. It does not matter which socioeconomic sector an individual comes from. All have had the same universal experiences with the IRS which are terrible to nightmarish.

Obama is a lost cause for the democrats that is costing them the election. They will never convince anyone that the IRS is there to better their health. The IRS is a gruesome, unfair, sadistic organization and 100% of the working population knows it.

The Democrat's PR game is a lost cause before it starts. The democrats are so stupid to think we do not know what is happening when they are sending in the IRS to terrorize the citizenry into compliance. Whether democrat, independent or republican a citizen will know this is a bad deal because that same citizen has had dealings with the IRS and all have been bad. Basically, when dealing with the IRS the proposition is that it wins and the citizen loses regardless of the citizen's case.

Some of you may or may not remember when Hillary Clinton wanted to ram through her version of Obamacare back in 1994. People were so opposed to Hillarycare that the Democrats lost both the House and the Senate for the first time since the 83rd Congress of 1953-1954. Prior to the congressional elections of 1994 no pollster even registered the level of unhappiness the American citizen had with Hillarycare. No pollster had any idea that President Clinton and the Democrats were going to lose on such a grand scale. One of the overriding reasons was that the democrat vote turned against President Clinton in staggering numbers. This author remembers talking to long standing, hard core democrats in 1994 and all said the same thing. They did not want government dictating to them what they could do with their doctors. Democrat women especially were very, very vocal after the 1994 congressional elections that they were appalled at this level of government intrusion. What was shocking was that these ordinary democrats who had voted democrat all their lives did not hesitate to throw their party under the bus on this issue.

The polling data is very clear and consistent on Obamacare. 60% are opposed and 40% are for.

Even If It Survives the Court, the Health Care Law Is Doomed according to Scott Rasmussen.

This data has not changed since democrats rammed Obamacare through the senate in 2010. Add to that the following.

80% Expect Repeal of Health Care Law If Romney Wins , Economy, Health Care Top Voter Concerns , 66% Believe U.S. Has Too Much Government Power, Too Little Freedom , 66% Say Spending Cuts Should be Considered in All Government Programs .

This health care bill is DOA with the American people. It is so clear that the electorate is overwhelmingly opposed to Obamacare. As in 1994, democrats and independents will show up in droves to vote against Obamacare in November. And just as in 1994, the pollsters are either too politically correct to do an honest poll or more likely rebellious democrats are fearful of telling pollsters how they will truly vote in November as they did to defeat Hillarycare in 1994. They already hate this bill 60% against and 40% for. Add the IRS to this equation and we are going to swear in President Romney by 8:00 PM on election night and kill the bill with a simple majority vote in the Senate. No way this has a chance of a snow flake in hell of surviving and neither does President Obama.

The 1994 Congressional elections crushed Hillarycare because democrats and independents turned against Clinton. Nothing has changed. Democrats and independents will turn against Obama.

Will all the Democrat dead have had the opportunity to vote their obligatory 5 times each by 8 p.m.?

I’m not assuming there will even be an election, let alone a fair one.

I agree with this post, on one condition:

Romney teams up with Palin.

If he tries to win this on his own, he’s in for a real fight.

If however he hires Palin and backs himself up with the entire right-wing base, he’s in like Flynn.

:D

My prediction: the polling will continue to look worse and worse and the dems will do a “hail Mary”. Obama or Biden, or both, will bow out and put in Hillary, or someone like that.

They did this in NJ in a Senate race and it worked.

On the side I think Obama is in this for the money. My take is he is skimming his funds to support a lavish lifestyle - because really he’s got nothing else.

Palin, Keyes, West, Cain.

But he’ll go for a nebbish who won’t outshine him.

I got a snowbird friend who claims his handy-man contractor was working on a talk show host house (? I am not sure who, it is a bit of a mix up ) and off the record told him Obama is politically done for.

3rd hand info? Yes. Unreliable? for sure. What are favorite talkers maybe thinking and feeling in their gut, you bet.

But they can't say it or we loose the passion and get soft. I know I won't loose the passion to pull the lever(s) against everyone that stands with Obama.

I have been saying for eons this will be a blowout that will take the Dems twenty years to recover from and I think they are loss prevention mode and they know it. 60 in the Senate, and I predicted it before Dick Morris did,

I spoke with an old friend in MA, we are talking an uber liberal state here.... His synopsis. 1/3 of his coworkers are vocal anti-Obama. 1/3 are sycophantic gun-grabbing loons. The other third? Are real quiet, you see his theory is they pulled the lever for Oboingo and are afraid to admit it.... The question is, do they stay home or make up for their mistake. If they do, do we have a 60 - 40 victory for Romney even in MA?.

Just like the 80' Hockey Team, Do you believe in Miracles?

Just saw a very interesting ad on.....Had to be Fox News. They needed 10,000 signatures from each congressional district to declare that BHO was ineligible to be nominated. Should have done that the first time.

I was half asleep and tried to remember the phone # but I’m not sure. I dialed what I thought it was and got some sort of an automatic code.

Anyone else see this??????

I don't even think that would be legal. Don't you have to wait until the polls close in a state before calling it for one candidate or another (unless it's in two time zones and reporters are too stupid to know that)?

If Obama carries anything it will be some of those early states, so the election won't be called until later in the evening when enough states have had a chance to vote.

But who "calls" elections anyway? The television networks?Regardless of law or accuracy or carefulness, the media love Obama, so even if there's a sweep for Romney, they won't call the election until very late in the night.

BS! At 8pm, folks in the Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will still be voting. And that doesn't include Alaska and Hawaii.

Assuming, of course, you mean 8pm Eastern Time.

There is a story out today that not only did Obama run a huge campaign deficit last month, but that he spent $2.6m on POLLING. That should tell everyone something-—that any polls showing him in the lead are fraudulent. No one leading, no one sure of his message, no one assured of winning spends that kind of money on polls.

They did not see the tsunami in the 1994 elections. This is no different because the issue is exactly the same one. Obama will lose 60/40!

I predict that even if Romney appears to be winning by a landslide, key states will remain ‘too close to call’ until after polls close in Alaska and Hawaii.

And I predict that Fox News will NOT be the first to project Romney the winner even if it’s obviously a landslide early on.

Reagan vs Carter 1980
NBC News projected Reagan as the winner at 8:15 pm EST (5:15 PST), before voting was finished in the West, based on exit polls. (It was the first time a broadcast network used exit polling to project a winner, and took the other broadcast networks by surprise.) Carter conceded defeat at 9:50 pm EST.

They drop Zero and their most reliable ethnic voting block will very stay home. They will cost them Congressional seats. They might “stay home” for a couple of election cycles. Doing this to try to do a “Hail Mary” to recover the “independent vote” I don't will work.

Since ideas transcend personalities, it is foolish to make a Palin condition.

Rather, it should be said
- Romney must pick a conservative VP
- Romney must run a conservative issues-oriented campaign

on the second item, Romney did himself credit with a great speech slamming Obama’s “you didnt built it” re-marx.

The base AND the independents will be with Romney if he draws the distinction between Obama’s spend-more tax-more philosophy and a conservative free market approach that builds the economy up through free enterprise.
