Skip to comments.Bill O’Reilly: Governor Palin ‘Was Not Really Very Nice’ to Romney

Via The Undefeated on Facebook, I discovered an article by Daria DiGiovanni about Bill OReillys coverage of what he called bad blood between Governor Palin and Mitt Romney. He used such a description to segue into his version of why the Governor has not been invited, at least not yet, to speak at the Republican National Convention in Tampa next month. Its clear he doesnt think such an invitation is forthcoming, either, because, according to him, at this stage of the game, shed have to sleep in a tent.
Bill, of course, hardly ever lets people talk, which is, first of all, rude. Second, this means hes doing most of the talking himself, which, when it comes to Governor Palin, he too often gets wrong. Tonight was no exception. Daria calls him out on it, defining his interview on the matter as dishonest:
Anyway, its not surprising that Bill couldnt wait to devote a segment tonight to the GOPs alleged snub of Palin at the RNC, which Ive already noted would be a HUGE mistake, if true. And once again, he was completely dishonest in accusing Palin of trashing Romney. Yes, she like many other conservatives supported another candidate. And in interviews when prompted, she offered her suggestions as to how Romney could connect with the base of the party.
But trash him? She most certainly did not.
What makes this so ironic is that Mitt Romneys surrogates have been trashing Palin for years.
Bill OReillys bad-blood-may-be-overstating-it, not-really-very-nice segment about Governor Palin was a farce and just more of the same. Methinks hes still stewing over her long-overdue demand that he stop interrupting and actually allow her to answer a question.

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the Diva leak was Nicolle Wallaces husband."
"It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."
Sen. John Kerry (D) to Don Imus on RomneyCARE:
"I like this health care bill".
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D) on RomneyCARE:
"To come up with a bipartisan plan in this polarized environment is commendable."
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.miller is good.
That would be fun to watch. He got his ass handed to him trying to do talk radio.
BOR is a POS
Romney is spending a ton of election campaign funds keeping track of exactly where Sarah Palin is 24/7. He absolutely does NOT want her crashing his coronation party.
When did Ted Knight pose with Bill O’Reilly?
The video is not as bad as the article makes it out to be.
Bill O’Reily states that Sarah Palin SHOULD be given the chance to speak.
It's a lousy job but someone has to do it, LOL.
Unfortunately, his show consistently has the highest ratings in the time slot....his is a vast audience......and therefore, he and his idiocy and populist statism are like a toxin coated in leprechaun charm.
He repeated again the other night that his best bud, Obama, is neither a commie or a socialist. He stated the terms are "too simplistic".
He then stated with a smug straight face that the Usurper is, instead, a "social-justice anti-capitalist" which I guess is more "simplistic".
This loony term, on closer analysis, actually is complimentary to Obama when uncritically absorbed by OWS gangs, do-gooders and economics-uneducated viewers.
Laura Ingraham is visibly under self-imposed personal restraint when on the Factor but she does her best. She does manage to correct Bill's repeated ignorances a lot when she can get a word in edgewise and when he isn't stepping all over her lines. But it's obvious she has to soften her bite and/or keep her mouth shut on many issues.....however, one can usually sense her utter frustration when she rolls her eyes, shakes her head or manages a sickly grin when he blatantly exhibits his uninformed pinheadedness.
He was set straight beautifully the other night when he doubted Sarah would be at the Tampa GOP convention.....and if she came, all the lodging are booked already. His guest informed him that she had nailed down reservations a long time ago.
Actually, we Freepers knew this from reading about it on this forum. O'Reilly should read Free......oh, wait.....he used to.....and then he made it a point to trash FR publicly. There's nothing "fair and balanced" about his opinion of Free Republic.com.
