Perhaps some of us took him dummassedly, but I repeat myself.

If all the police went on strike, in some cities those assault weapons would be all people had to protect themselves.

So now it is our fault to take your words ‘literally’?

Next time you say something, the rest of us should just ignore you, um, Mister Mayor?

It actually happened in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1975. citizens work guns. Crime virtually ended for that 10 days. Criminals knew they were dead,,and that no cops would arrive to save them.

Only a liberal would think that this was logical:

OK, so you people aren’t clamoring for gun control,
so we should create a situation in which you absolutely need your guns to protect yourself
until you clamor for the government to remove that means of protecting yourself.

In the well-armed, hill country precincts where I reside everything would proceed pretty much the same as always, only with justice a bit more swift, and with considerably less expense for lawyers, judges, prolonged trials and comfortable prison stays.

Big-mouth nanny-boy Bloomberg wouldn’t be welcome here.

Brown in CA, who's government is hiding billions of tax dollars so they can have an excuse to raise taxes, is glad this idiot is getting all this attention.

Everyone disarm, only the government needs to be armed! Or else the police will strike?

This is just brilliant.

Bloomberg sounds like some kind of Nazi dictator.

It's just amazing the types of controlling fanatics who've gained power in the U.S.

Dear CBS News:

Whenever public indignation, public laughter, or getting caught in a lie forces a liberal politician to retract something, you let them gracefully “clarify” instead.

Please stop trying to change the plain meaning of words for the benefit of liberal politicians.

Retract doesn’t mean clarify.

The people of NYC picked a winner. One freedom after another taken from them and they stand by idly accepting it. Pretty damn sad.

If the police were to strike, crime would sky rocket. Would that make him a candidate for a civil suit?

Actually, I agree with a lot of these liberal anti-gunners.

New Yorkers and Californians shouldn’t be allowed to have firearms to defend themselves.

We can’t trust them to vote like responsible Americans, why should we trust them with firearms?

Bingo! We have a winner!!

You think the 2nd amendment needs to go, you are NOT an American. If you are NOT an American, the 2nd does NOT apply to you and you are too stupid to be armed anyway.

Go face the rampaging mobs of “yutts” all on your own.

As for me? Cops SHOULD go on strike and let Americans take care of themselves.

I can’t remember, it was a long time ago, but someone did a study on career criminals. Over 95% of incarcerated violent criminals FEARED running into an armed civilian and had little fear of the cops. They knew the cops had to follow rules are regulations before shooting. Civilians did not. I’ll try to find it, it was published in the ‘80s or ‘90s.
