Administration’s effort to boost global image has flopped
At the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Reno, Nev., on Monday, President Obama heaped praise on his foreign policy record. “Because we’re leading around the world, people have a new attitude toward America,” he said. “There’s more confidence in our leadership. We see it everywhere we go.” This raises the question: Where exactly has he been going?
Since Mr. Obama took office, the opinion of the United States generally has declined in every country surveyed by the Pew Global Attitudes Project, according to a report released in June. Despite the vaunted White House effort to reach out to Muslim-majority countries, U.S. favorability ratings in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Pakistan are below where they were in 2008, when George W. Bush was at the helm. The study notes that “opinion is generally against Obama in most of the predominantly Muslim countries surveyed, with about half or more in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Pakistan saying Obama should not be elected again.”
That’s not to say nothing positive has happened on Mr. Obama’s watch. He presided over the takedown of Osama bin Laden, and he has excelled at killing terrorists by remote control. On the other hand, the START 2 nuclear arms agreement with Russia has proved a debacle for American nuclear strategy, and Russian President Vladimir Putin regards Mr. Obama with open contempt.

Obama is clearly taking the “BIG LIE” approach in this campaign. Virtually everything he says is a BIG LIE, but he thinks if he says it enough times, and the MSM repeats it enough, people will accept it as true.

I am so glad to see this article. When I read the original thread about the VFW meeting and all the lies nobama spewed, I wanted to post a comment containing much of what this article covers, but I didn’t have the details. Thank you Wa Times!
I do remember feats of strength - George Castanza’s father first celebration during Festivus.
My guess is his local cell meetings.

I view obama as more of a pod person. He may even be an alien, as in extraterrestrial.
With just three months out till November and Obamas well-known habit of throwing supporters under the bus, I’m wondering what, if anything, he’s going to tell the kids who voted for him four years ago. Is he going to be “Mr. Cool’’ again and do the “Hopey Changey’’ shuffle again? What is he going to tell these dumb kids now that they’re jobless, in debt, living in their parents basements and wondering “WTF, where’s all the free stuff?’’. Or maybe he’ll ignore them all together and just keep going negative.
Right. So what’s the opposite of “Festivus”?
I’m of the mind Obama is or has been doing drugs. He certainly partied up a storm in The White House when he first moved in. But I feel that he’s running to lose, ‘’taking a dive’’ as the old boxing adage goes. He knows he’s in over his head, he doesn’t like being confined in The White House and Michelle wants out. I noticed they’ve been smart enough to keep her out of sight lately and they’ve also seemed to put a muzzle on Old Stupid Joe Biden. Remember about two weeks in he and Michelle skipped out one afternoon, taking their Secret Service detail by surprise? They showed up at some school and the look on the punks face was ‘’Damn, I got to get me outta this sh!t’’. And “Aunt Esther’’ let the ball drop by saying “They let us out!’’.
Obama, like the Clinton Duo, is a piece of trash!
