With a little help from his friends, former congressman Virgil Goode has taken a key step toward getting his name on Novembers presidential ballot in Virginia, submitting more than 14,000 signatures to the State Board of Elections....
..Goode was a Democrat for much of his career, then became an Independent and finally a Republican for his last six years on Capitol Hill. Now Goode is getting assistance from yet another party, the Independent Greens, whose members have collected thousands of signatures for him....
...Virgil supports rail, and thats our big issue and hes with us on that, said Carey Campbell, a member of the Independent Greens executive committee. Weve had for many years a good relationship with the Constitution Party folks....

The Independent Green Party sounds like the love child of Dennis Kucinich and Willie Green. http://www.votejoinrun.us/
Tread lightly...
I’m going to vote for him because Mitt is a lying manipulative bottom feeding piece of trash.
Nothing says “Dem Win” like a Clintonian plurality.....
I see no value in voting for someone who has less than a snowball’s chance.
Yeah, sounds like a really trust-worthy guy. Real consistent.
Tell us how you really feel! :)
As though former Democrat, change parties faster than you can shake an etch-a-sketch Goode isn't. While Mitt was a liberal Republican governor, Goode was a Liberal Democrat congressman.
A vote for Virgil is as good as a vote for Ubama.
You vote for your liberal and I’ll vote for mine.
I forgot to mention that Mitt is also a coward.
Obama can afford to finance Ross Perot’s campaign in Virginia.
I really dislike Romney, but we can't survive 4 more years of obama. Romney isn't Reagan, he's breathing space.
The same no value in voting (R) on the top line in New York State.
Why vote for any liberal? Why not write in Jeff Sessions or Jim DeMint?
Virginia proved in the primary season that it had a signature collection scam that caused Perry, Gingrich and Santorum take it to court claiming it is unconstitutional. They lost.
They also were unable to get on Virginia’s ballot.
Goode, a Virginian himself, creatively joined with others to get enough signatures.
Now ask yourself this: If Perry, Gingrich, and Santorum had all carried petitions for each other and had had each signer sign all 3, then would they have qualified for the ballot?
Yep.
I’m actually very encouraged by Goode’s creativity.
I’m surprised Paul and Romney were the only ones on the ballot now that I see what a little cooperating with people in the same situation could have accomplished.
Whupped ‘em again, din’t we Josey!
You deserve 4 more years of Obama.
I hope your karma shows up elsewhere, so America can survive.
But...but...but, Romney is the real enemy of America!
After all the destruction Obama has brought on our nation, we still have fools that are going to help him win a second term. This notion that Obama and Romney are the same is just plain stupid.
Virgil Goode is a selfish POS!
Im going to vote for him because Mitt is a lying manipulative bottom feeding piece of trash.
Really?
I think you sound afraid.
Gee that’s tough.
Hey he got 14,000 signatures, Boy they do have a low hurdle to get on the ballot there. Newt and Rick didn’t make it!
Gee thats tough.”

Damn strait! Where in the hell have you been the past 3+ years? Get a clue; if Obama wins a second term, it will be “tough” for all of us! 2016 will not matter.
“Rebellion On!” Pfft!
I see that you are from the state of Washington. Rasmussen has your state listed as solid blue, safe for OBAMA!
That means that Romney doesn't have a snowball's chance in your state. (You know it and we know it.)
What we're saying is basically what you just said. Since there's no chance at all that Romney will win in Washington State, any logic about anyone but Romney doesn't compute.
Therefore, you don't have to hold your nose and vote for liberal Romney. It isn't going to help.
You can vote your conservative principles instead...Vote for a true pro-life, pro-gun, pro-God, pro-small government conservative...vote for Virgil Goode.
At least the greens understand what the Goode candidacy is good for.
“Im going to vote for him because Mitt is a lying manipulative bottom feeding piece of trash.”
Understood.......but you an others would only be helping 0bamam carry VA and likely win the election. I recommend you hold your nose an vote for Willard only to stop 0bama.
“And Goode was a democrat, then an independant, THEN a republican, and now the greenies are helping him...
Yeah, sounds like a really trust-worthy guy. Real consistent. “
Ha! He sounds better than Mitt, who has supported every Obama idea and even modeled how to nationalize healthcare.
Let me amend what I said... if I lived in Virginia, or any other state where it was close, I would not vote for a 3d party if there was a chance of keeping those electoral votes away from Obama.
And yet, Obama just left here this morning after yet another campaign stop to beg money from the fine but misguided folks in Bellevue. He’s slipping here... not much, but still slipping.
Do not mistake disgust for fear.
No matter how you slice n dice it, a vote for Virgil is a vote to keep the current POS in the W.H. There is no if, ands, or buts.
Goode has ALWAYS been a pro-life, pro-God, pro-gun conservative.
When Goode was a democrat, during the Zell Miller conservative Democrat days, his voting record was far more conservative than the acceptable democrat, Zell Miller, and it was more conservative than ALL but a handful of Republicans.
“Understood.......but you an others would only be helping 0bamam carry VA and likely win the election. I recommend you hold your nose an vote for Willard only to stop 0bama.”

Don’t worry, they won’t.
Despite all of the damage and destruction brought on our nation by Obama, they still hold more contempt for Romney. To help them justify their decision to vote for a selfish prick like Goode, they must push the idea that Obama and Romney are exactly the same.
Whatever Romney is, he does not hate the country, and does not have as his mission, the goal to destroy it. Can you believe it... these people have more contempt for Romney than Obama, and in their selfishness, are willing to help Obama win a second term. It’s like watching the DUmmies.
There’s a difference between a competitor and an ally.
The socialist Green Party is an ally of Goode’s, those primary wannabes were competitors.
It’s a shame they did not get the legally required signatures despite knowing the law. I didn’t bother to vote in the primary and, more importantly, attention wasn’t paid to the primary by anyone. It was a waste of time and money instead of the publicity bonus it could have been for the Party!
I don’t, however, think the Republican Party of Virginia should have conspired to evade the law for the sake of these possible candidates, despite the ‘good’ they would have gotten from doing so.
And don’t mistake my disgust for respect, slave.
Now git back on yer plantation and do as you’re told.
Just to add a final point...
Virgil Goode, as a democrat, voted FOR THE IMPEACHMENT of Bill Clinton.
So dictator obama is okey dokey for my 4 innocent little grandchildren according to you. I abhor it. It is no holds barred for the wannabe tyrant with your vision for America.
Just to add a final point...
Virgil Goode, as a democrat, voted FOR THE IMPEACHMENT of Bill Clinton.
What kind of a person swings their grandchildren around like a weapon?
There is no evasion of law in cooperating with the competition in gathering signatures.
It’s quite creative....and...quite legal.
Goode is just playing the Perot tactic. All it does is make a goode narcissist get full of himself. Then he takes his marbles and disappears into the night; leaving behind a worn spot in the ground.
Back when Mitt was warning his illegal gardeners that they were breaking the law, Goode was actually voting to secure the border.
What state you from, SMM48?
It's really quite simple; their guy didn't win the primary (neither did mine), now they're going to have a little fit and help the Marxist win a second term. Seriously, check out their posts; they have more contempt for Romney than Obama! How freakin’ sick is that?
Do you mean Mitt's illegal "omigosh I'm running for the presidency" gardeners?
You are being obtuse.
Allies- like Goode and the Green Party- cooperate, competitors dont.
The Virginia primary was run correctly and legally and I’m offended that you called it a “scam”.
Perhaps you enjoy living in some state where election laws are ignored, I would not.
Rasmussen has Washington State painted a deep dark blue, the darkest blue that he has.
There is no reason for you to vote against your conscience in Washington State.
Instead, you can send a message to the GOP-E that you’re pretty darn tired of their shoving retreads, tired old men, and radical liberals down your throat.
Vote Virgil Goode.
In all fairness, whatever amount of votes taken from Mittens by Goode, the same will be lost for Obama. Goode is a good candidate( no pun intended), but a non issue imho.
Exactly!
But the important thing is that they are able to have their little fit. So what what...Obama gets a second term, at least these guys showed Romney a thing or two!
The fact that people would take actions to give a known Marxist four more years to complete his destruction on our nation, while at the same time holding more contempt for Romney, is as twisted and sick as it gets. Supreme selfishness! Hey, my desired candidate didn't win either, but at least I can clearly see who our enemy is.
