Whoever dips the flag should not even think about returning to the USA. Just stay there and whimper the rest of your life.

An opportunity to humiliate the US, but at the price of showing respect to the Brits. A tough choice, but that’s why we have Zero, to make the tough choices.

Sets a bad precedent, don’t you think?

Shoudld we be dipping the US flag to any leader of any country where it is displayed?

How about Afghanistan, or China.

Can’t we settle for just having our first Black president bow?

Is Wookie gonna curtsey to the Queen? Poor old lady probably got extra protection to avoid being being grabbed again

Those British Brutally Attacked us in the War of 1812 and that is not to mention the years and years we suffered under Colonization.

Never Forget!

The British aren't instigating this.

You might also want to remember the five wars we have fought since 1814 with them as our allies and closest friends. More Americans and British have shed blood together as allies, than ever shed blood as enemies.

No, we shed blood for the British and bailed them out in WWI and WWII.

How can you forget the Brutality of the British colonial time when they mastered over America.

And they invaded us and Burned Down the White House.

Dolly Madison and Andrew Jackson are rolling in their graves.

The People of New Orleans may never recover from the trauma of the Battle of New Orleans.

While I can’t stand the man, he is the (acting) President. He should not grovel before anyone.

Just fired off an email.
No one is answering the phone anymore tonight.
We have to get this message out to overwhelm them our response to this stupid idea.

Obama’s lies about not actually “bowing” to foreign rulers has now been clearly exposed even for the most vapid Obamunist.

"No, just no. While I have great affection for the UK and the Royal Family, the US Flag is not dipped on land, ever.

I’m sure the Queen herself, who knows our country and it’s traditions, would agree."

As far as I'm concerned, Queen Elizabeth is too good and decent to be in the company of that filthy, lying, Godless, anti-American, coke-sniffing, peanut-headed chicken-necked Marxist.

We’re on British soil, so I don’t think I have an issue with this. It would be done out of respect for the host country, not to demean us.

Are you not familiar with the official flag etiquette: "The American flag dips to no earthly king"?

The American flag has never been dipped to any individual or group since the founding.

Under certain circumstances, the flag may be lowered to half-mast -- but never dipped.

This amounts to a straightforward attack on the concept of "American exceptionalism".

Damn right you are. I’d like to wrap a rope around the ankles of her bowed legs and dip her til her head hits a solid substance. Can’t do it now, but we do owe her for the “all this for a damn flag” remark.
