Ate there yesterday for the first time in years. So the only menu item I can vouch for is the chicken breakfast burrito. Quite tasty. The salsa that goes with it is excellent. (for a restraunt salsa out of a plastic packet.)

Hey Tennesseeans! Let's all go to Chick-Fil-A! There's a bunch of them in our highly-God-blessed state of Tennessee!

My wife and her brother were in South Knoxville yesterday and they stopped to eat at the Chick-Fil-A on Chapman Hwy. She said the place was so packed they had to wait for a parking spot.

Hubby and I have already made the decision to do just that. Someone also suggested sending Chick Fil A gift cards in the Christmas cards this year!

;-)

I had never been to a Chick-Fil-A prior to this incident (Perhaps I am a “food Snob?) but I have been there TWICE since this incident has occurred.

The first time I went, I had the Spicy Southwestern Salad. It was huge (in a 10” Bowl) with Leafy lettuce, Tomatoes, Three Kinds of cheese, corn and bean salsa, and spicy chicken strips on top. There was also a packet of jalapeno salsa which was delicious. I had a 32 oz sugar free lemonade with it, and the total bill was $8.00. The staff were the handsomest young gentlemen I have ever met and they treated me with respect and friendliness.

The second time I went was for breakfast. I got a breakfast burrito and coffee and the bill came to $4.50. Again served with a smile and incredibly polite service!

I LOVE Chick-Fil-A!!!!!!!!!!

I typically order their No. 1 combo (chicken sandwich, waffle fries, drink) as I usually stop in for either lunch or dinner.

Back when the boys were in school, breakfast from Chik-fil-A was de rigueur during exams. The chicken breakfast biscuit is pretty tasty.

Hey Massachusetts! The only Chick-Fil-A I could find in your area is:

Burlington Mall
75 Middlesex Turnpike
Burlington, MA 01803
Limited hours -please call first
Drive-Thru Only
(781) 272-2110

YOU WANNA PLAY CHICKEN?
OK,
WE’LL PLAY CHICKEN.

When did I hit my limit? I think it was when Boston mayor Tom Menino and Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel got involved, throwing their muscle--- I’m talking about raw political knuckle sandwich --- into the face of a private businessman explicitly because he espoused Christian values. But here’s the back-story.

Dan Cathy, the CEO of the Chick-Fil-A restaurant, was explaining his business philosophy to the Baptist Press.

He said that Chick-Fil-A is not an exclusively "Christian" company, but they try to run it in a Christian manner: they close on Sundays, for instance, so all their employees can go to church and/or spend time with their families.

Explaining ‘pro-family,’ he said they treat gay people with respect, as customers and employees. But as far as he and his kin are concerned, they’re in favor of the Biblical definition of marriage; they are all still married to their first wives and they thank God for that.

Whoa. "Biblical definition of marriage"???

Well, that’s when the chick hit the fan.

Gay activist groups: “THAT’S HATE SPEECH! BOYCOTT CHICK-FIL-A!”

Pro-family groups: ‘WE SUPPORT CHICK-FIL-A! COUNTER-BOYCOTT!”

(Oh well, I thought.)

Chicken-consumption-wise, the Christians probably way out-weigh the LGBTQQI’s in sheer tonnage, so I expected an easy win for Chick-Fil-A. I said to myself, “Self” (I said), “Next time you’re near a Chick-Fil-A, treat yourself to a Spicy Chicken Deluxe and a Peach Milkshake.” The finger-lickin’-Christian-chicken people would triumph, I had no doubt!

End of Story? Not quite.

THEN THE POLITICIANS STARTED SWARMING. Elliot Spitzer --- --- Seriously??! Elliot Spitzer?!!--- the politician who spent $80,000 on the services of prostitutes when he was Attorney General and Governor of New York?? That Elliot Spitzer? --- said he and his pals would be boycotting Chick-Fil-A in order to “show our commitment to the values we believe in.”

And other politicos started squawking, not just with their “views” and “values,” but with outright Mafia-style muscle. Boston Mayor Tom Menino said he would block any Chick-Fil-A’s opening in Boston; Rahm Emanuel said the restaurant would be barred from expansion in his city because “Chick-Fil-A values are not Chicago values.” ( Chicago? Values? Seriously?)

Calling Tom Wolfe! Calling P.J. O’Rourke! Cluck, dude! Where are the social satirists when you need them?

They’re going to use the coercive power of the government to stop a restaurant chain, because the restaurant guy supports Biblical marriage?

As Michelle Malkin wrote.“When an elected public official wields the club of government against a Christian business .... it’s not harmless kid stuff.”

Like I said, that’s when I hit my limit.

I’m not just buying a Spicy Chicken Sandwich.

I’m buying Chick-Fil-A Gift Cards.

So, Birthdays? Weddings? Pot-Lucks? And now you know what I’m giving for Christmas this year.

And Milkshake! Peach -- to People of Good Will.

North Shore Mall, Salem MA, about five miles from where I work, two minutes by broomstick

Pheasant Lane Mall, Nashua NH, right on the MA border, maybe thirty miles from where I live.

I’m allergic to chicken, on a low-carb diet, and 27 miles from the nearest Chick-Fil-A, but I’m game!

I’d order an iced tea, if I wanted to drive 27 miles for one!

Hey Massachusetts! The only Chick-Fil-A I could find in your area is:

Burlington Mall

Burlington Mall is crowded with free parking. Boston is very crowded, conjested, and has $20 to $30 parking. why open up in Boston? There you get Holder's thugs. In the outsirt malls, you get those that fled the city and plenty of customers.

I will donate an additional $1.00 for each post up to 250 posts telling us what your favorite Chick-Fil-A menu item is.

Let me offer one of the most unique menu items (I'm cheating; my youngest daughter is a high school senior and works at Chick-fil-A):

The Single Nugget.

Yes. There's a special key on the Chick-fil-A register for a Single Nugget ($0.25). High schoolers, college students, and others low on change often come into Chick-fil-A, so Chick-fil-A will sell them one nugget, in a box, with a dipping sauce, for a quarter.

That redhead in the Wendy's commercial is Wendy Thomas, daughter of Wendy's founder Dave Thomas. She was the inspiration for the little redheaded girl in the Wendy's logo.
