25 years ago, Newsweek published a controversial cover story titled "Bush Battles the 'Wimp Factor.'"
On Monday, newsstands will carry an equally controversial albeit derivative Newsweek cover story titled "Mitt Romney: A Candidate With a Serious Wimp Problem":
In 1987, this magazine created a famous hubbub by labeling George H.W. Bush a wimp on its cover. The Wimp Factor. Huge stir. And not entirely fairthe guy had been an aviator in the war, the big war, the good war, and he was even shot down out over the Pacific, cockpit drenched in smoke and fumes, at an age (20) when in most states he couldnt even legally drink a beer. In hindsight, Poppy looks like Dirty Harry Callahan compared with Romney, who spent his war (Vietnam) inready?Paris. Where he learned ... French. Up to his eyeballs in deferments. Where Reagan saddled up a horse with the masculine name of El Alamein, Mitt saddles up something called Rafalcaexcept that he doesnt even really do that, his wife does (dressage). And speaking of Anndid you notice that she was the one driving the Jet Ski on their recent vacation, while Mitt rode on the back, hanging on, as Paul Begala put it to me last week, like a helpless papoose?
The piece continued:
Romney is the genuine article: a true wimp...In some respects, hes more weenie than wimpsocially inept; at times awkwardy ingratiating, at other times mocking those below him, but almost always getting the situation a little wrong, and never in a sympathetic way.

I made the mistake of picking one up in an airport free bin the other day, and found that this freak, a standard issue British Socialist is now the editor along with the Daily Beast, which is basically a talking points propaganda organ for the DNC.
In other words, it's a joke without the comics.
Newsweak = propaganda. If Romney is a “wimp”, Zero is a “metro”, but I’m sure Newsweak will never print that!
I believe that was posted here last week. IIRC, it is possible by the end of the year. Now on to Time.
No wonder they’re dying. They keep recycling stories.
Now, Obama, he's a flaming queen.
Eggsactly...I didn’t think they still had a cover.
I don’t have any respect for metrosexual-mitt, but obama is a flospy-wrist, fluttering pansy with a pocket full of rainbows compared to mitt. I bet he jumps up on a chair and shrieks when a mouse runs across the floor.

Is the article going to take up 4 of the 10 magazine pages?
That is a stupid cover, IMO.
I won’t vote against Romney because he’s a wimp. I’ll vote against him because he’s a liberal.
One pic of the Obamagirl trying like mad to loft a baseball should take care of that.
Need the pic of Soetoro hanging pink curtains and the girlie pitches.
I must make amends for my last comment. I’ve played pitch with my petite wife, who can send a baseball through the nearest wall. A pitch from her would knock Obamapussy right through his wimpy b*ll-less shorts.
I don’t have any bocy to vote for. Do you? But Romney showed big time “wimp” in retracting his statement that security in London wad “disconcerting” offending the Brits. He show weakness like a woman and was discombobulated.
Bullies are often wimps, especially when they need their buddies to hold an already effeminate guy down, Romney was never a tough guy or athletic.
And post a pic of Rep. Allen West on his motorcycle next to it!
Gee, a lib-leftist rag bashes a “conservative” Republican candidate. Just call me thoroughly surprised. Will wonders never cease?
Newsweek’s still publishing ?
