The Democratic Party has added new language endorsing gay marriage in its platform draft, the Washington Blade reports. Sen. Harry Reid said in May that he believed the party would alter its platform in favor of gay marriage,

Great idea .... and bring in Barney Frank as the keynote speaker. We might not agree with everything Barney says, but we can surely all agree that Barney is one handsome dude !

This should knock Romney in Israel off the front of Drudge
People in groups will pretend to be tolerant of the perverse (for fear of the liberal thought police), but in private - it's a different story. Inside that voting booth, there are no sicko activists to intimidate people into liberal obedience. People are allowed to truly speak their minds.
Yep. We'll take those voters, thank you.(The Chic Fil A's parking lots are LOADED with customers. These people will vote. )
I checked the GOP platform and it looks okay. Still voting third party for president, but will vote Republican for congress.
"Preserving Traditional Marriage
"Because our childrens future is best preserved within the traditional understanding of marriage, we call for a constitutional amendment that fully protects marriage as a union of a man and a woman, so that judges cannot make other arrangements equivalent to it. In the absence of a national amendment, we support the right of the people of the various states to affirm traditional marriage through state initiatives.
"Republicans recognize the importance of having in the home a father and a mother who are married. The two-parent family still provides the best environment of stability, discipline, responsibility, and character. Children in homes without fathers are more likely to commit a crime, drop out of school, become violent, become teen parents, use illegal drugs, become mired in poverty, or have emotional or behavioral problems. We support the courageous efforts of single-parent families to provide a stable home for their children. Children are our nations most precious resource. We also salute and support the efforts of foster and adoptive families.
"Republicans have been at the forefront of protecting traditional marriage laws, both in the states and in Congress. A Republican Congress enacted the Defense of Marriage Act, affirming the right of states not to recognize same-sex marriages licensed in other states. Unbelievably, the Democratic Party has now pledged to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, which would subject every state to the redefinition of marriage by a judge without ever allowing the people to vote on the matter. We also urge Congress to use its Article III, Section 2 power to prevent activist federal judges from imposing upon the rest of the nation the judicial activism in Massachusetts and California. We also encourage states to review their marriage and divorce laws in order to strengthen marriage.
"As the family is our basic unit of society, we oppose initiatives to erode parental rights.
North Carolina just voted 61%-39% to ban gay marriage. Is there any swing state where this issue will help the Dems?
I think they may say they are going to do it and not actually do it.
This will be the final straw for the few dim’s I know.
I hope they go one better and consumate a fag marriage up on the dais. A prime time broadcast would be the best time too, with no tape delay.
Sure, the Dem are going to do this but once it’s through their Leftwingtard platform resolutions committee it will be FORCED GAY MARRIAGE.
This is actually good news, Democrats have defined themselves as the gay party. I can’t believe that will help with fence sitters.
LLS
The question is, when were they NOT.
I'm going to need to go to an eyewash station just to get the sick image of such a thing out of my mind.
So by voting third party, you are for same sex marriage? Foolish. Please rethink!
The Libertarian Party Platform and the Democrat party Platform both advance the radical left’s homosexual agenda.

>Still voting third party for president, but will vote Republican for congress.
Obama loves voters that throw away their chance to vote him out by voting for people/parties that are meaningless except to the ego...
Its okay. I will do what is best for America - you do what you believe is best for you.
Obama loves voters that throw away their chance to vote him out by voting for people/parties that are meaningless except to the ego...
I don’t know that principles = ego. Pragmatism should never,IMHO, trump deeply held convictions.
No I'm voting against same sex marriage. Despite the republican platform, look at Romney's actions. There is a reason the Lamestream media pushed for Romney, they now have a liberal democrat nominated by both main parties.
no matter how you sugar coat it, ANY third party vote is a defacto vote for Obama.
If you want the federal marriage amendment to end the homosexual nonsense, then you need to have a candidate with coattails that will bring in the senate and house in super majorities. The president is not a factor, other than the pulpit, in the voting.
See post 24.
I understand you. You are voting for the lesser of two severe evils, because you fear that voting for someone who represents your values will be a wasted vote. I don't think either candidate is good for America. So I'm voting for someone different.
If enough of us vote third party, then perhaps next election either the GOP will take us serious or our third party will continue to grow until the GOP is irrelevant.
This is pretty blatant and an undeniable support of perversion to any libs who heretofore had been deluding themselves on where the Dems, as a Party, stand. I just can’t see how this could NOT cause a backlash. Maybe not a highly visible and massive one, but still a backlash of some kind. At the least, handled properly, it gives more ammunition in one on one debates with our friends and relatives who are not too far gone:
.
“Aside from the horrendous economy, let’s talk about a couple of things at stake here...”
“The Dems officially support abortion on demand. Suppose we start with a physical description of abortion—what we are really talking about here?...”
“The Dems also officially support ‘gay marriage’. Suppose, again, we start with a physical description of gay sex—what we are really talking about here?...”
“So anyway, this is the party you support? Just askin’...”
Truth offends, and it especially offends those whose worldview is based on lies.
Describing the truth of abortion, or what homosexuality actually is, is very “offensive”. And when you offend with the truth, the left, like drug addicts or alcoholics, try to make YOU out to be the bad guy for telling the truth.
If I can open the eyes of at least a few with the facts, I can live with that. I’m way past too old to care what people think of me when I stand up for the truth.
I'm indifferent between Obama and Romney. They are both uber liberals. There is no difference.
If you want the federal marriage amendment to end the homosexual nonsense, then you need to have a candidate with coattails that will bring in the senate and house in super majorities.
Based on Romney's actions as governor (see post 24) I see Romney vetoing a federal marriage amendment.
I don't see Romney as having any coat tails at all. And once he actualy starts revealing his true self, he is going to be a liability to the GOP.
History indicates that whichever party wins the Whitehouse, tends to lose seats in the following congressional elections. So if Obama wins in 2012, the GOP will advance in the House and Senate in 2014. If Romney wins in 2012, the Democrats will advance in 2014.
What's more, if Romney wins in 2012, he'll be the GOP nominee in 2016. It'll be 2020 before we can get even a moderate much less a conservative in the Whitehouse.
If Obama wins, you already have a house that is standing up to him a little. It would help if the GOP gains the senate, then and only then will the house be able to do much. The Supreme Court has stood up to Obama a little, they blocked the medicaid portion of Obamacare.
If Romney wins, you'll have establishment republicans rubber stamping any kind of liberal agenda in the name of GOP unity.
The MSM will not report this.
Those useful idiot union rank and file types will never know they have been sold into slavery to the village people.
It seems to me that Obama and the Dems are promoting a lot if issues now for the sake of fundraising from their high dollar activist base (like gays and Hollywood).
Which has me worried about them possibly having an October Surprise up their sleves that they know will lead voters to ignore/forget the gay marriage and other Left extremism ... so long as the have enough money to saturate the airwaves when the Oct Surprise drops.
Establishment.
I checked the GOP platform and it looks okay.
Then they have to change it if they are to be honest. When they selected Romney as their 'chosen' candidate - he represents what their platform is.
So either Romney has to step down as the imposter than he is or the GOP needs to add to their platform socialistic health and same sex marriage - otherwise they are misrepresenting themself.
Would you be a Republican if they were for same sex marriage, pro abortion, socialistic healthcare, gun grabbing YET they expect you to vote for it. - they didn't support THEIR OWN KIND, one who stood on their platform!
“If enough of us vote third party, then perhaps next election either the GOP will take us serious or our third party will continue to grow until the GOP is irrelevant.”
Nice. By the time that happens what kind of country do you expect to be living in? It won’t be recognizable, IMO.
Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't be Republican if Romney represented the whole party's values. Fortunately, it seems clear that there is a disconnect between the GOP and the GOP-E.
Rather than change platforms, I'd rather see the GOP change the GOP-E.
I'll still be voting Republican for Congress, though I'll be reviewing my candidates votes carefully. But I can't vote Republican for President.
But it’s still the GOP and Romney initiated both same sex marriage and socialistic healthcare in MA - he doesn’t just agree with it. The GOP are frauds and misrepresentation themselves to voters.
Romney’s accomplishments do NOT line up at all with the GOP platform. Higher taxes/fees in MA, gun grabbing, appt of liberal judges = I could go on -
It’s more than just not voting for him - we have a party that deliberately chose a candidate totally opposite of their platform. Hope the delegates understand this.
HE DID in MA!! Isn't that why he feels qualified to run - because he was governor. His record there is LIBERAL to the core!
...I dont know that principles = ego. Pragmatism should never,IMHO, trump deeply held convictions.
You can put that on the grave of America if you ever get that chance.
I will work to see that you never do...
Dream on - because that is all that will ever come to.
A forgotten footnote in a forgotten dream.
