Texas certainly moved in a historic direction tonight.
And in doing so, will energize the entire conservative nation
as well. Job well done Texans.

Correct. I'm focusing on Dewhurst, not that I can do anything but run a ping list and push the idea of booting him, but Strauss needs to go, too.

The establishment mafia in Austin just became a little less entrenched tonight, and I intend to make use of that opening in their line.

I've heard stories of intimidation and bullying to get endorsements. Dewhurst lost anyway. It's one thing to bully your way into a win, but when you bully your way into a loss... lots of core weakness in that.

Thank you Tennessee. Texas and Tennessee have a long history together. Thanks for the help at the Alamo, too.

Of course, the fact that you guys make the best whiskey on the planet has nothing to do with it. ;)

I agree... every frickin RINO needs to get shown the DOOR!!! Yeah!

I loved the sleazeball advertising that Dewdrop used against Cruz. What a typical democrat/RINO POS.

I say we make Dewey the poster child of the RINOpublican party.

Hay Bigun, Patterson look like the ideal candidate for Lt Gov down the road a piece.

Send me a message when the push starts for him running, he looks like someone the Tea Party Express would want go go to bat for.

I'd just be happy to show him the door. The 'Boot' is completely figurative. Really. No, really!

I'm disgusted with some of the people who endorsed Dewhurst. I hope this is a lesson for Mike Huckabee, Michael Reagan, James Inhoffe. It's possible some of them didn't know Dewhurst was going to sink so low, like that blubbering mother ad, but some of them like Inhoffe came on board after Dewhurst had thoroughly established himself as a slimeball.

I had little interest in this run off. They both seemed like decent conservative Republicans. The first thing that caught my attention was Dewhurst going full 100% down and dirty negative against Cruz.

The adds that Cruz ran did not make me vote for him. The adds that Dewhurst ran made me vote against Dewhurst.

Now Cruz is the Republican nominee which in Texas means he will be the next Senator from Texas. The Tea Party is why he is now the nominee. If he keeps the faith with the Tea Party he will be a Senator from Texas for many years.

Yes we do!
I can’t tell you how exciting this has been to observe and soak in your historic victory. Although I don’t live in Texas
it has been one great night for me to watch in awe, what can
be done.

Let a credible candidate like Cruz emerge here in Tn, and we
will send Lamar Alexender packing in 2014.

It looks like it was a bloodbath for RINO’s in Texas tonight, as well. With many Tea Party candidates winning
numerous seats. Enjoy your Tennessee Whiskey my Texas
friend. You have earned it!

Find one, be one, whatever... And push the issue. This Texan will support Tennessee as best we can as they move to conservativism. ;)

I haven't heard any other potential candidates so far. I will, of course, have to vette him for myself to support him. Seems like he's got a small core of support here already (and they aren't newbs). That speaks well of him.

We've got some time to get that figured out and figure out how best to support the candidate that will replace the now injured Dewhurst.

Doesn't really matter. I don't see a dem winning a senate seat in Texas for a while. Tonight's results just affirmed that for me. Conservatives are off their ass.

“I know him personally. He’s a salt of the earth type of guy. Former marine. former state senator, author of the Texas concealed carry law, currently land commissioner, and running for LT. Governor in 2014.

I will be doing EVERYTHING in my power to get him elected!”

DITTOS!

Jerry Patterson for Lt Gov 2014.

Add me to your ping list.

And, I agree that there needs to be a similar effort to replace Cornyn with someone dependably conservative. I am soooo tired of patty-cake conservatives.

Does it dilute your efforts to replace Dewy by also promoting a replacement for Cornyn?

At any rate, include me in the effort to get someone truly conservative, someone truly NOT a patty-cake conservative in name only, as the next Lt. Gov.

Added.

As far as Cornyn and Straus, if people want to use this ping list to help boot them, that's a good thing.

For me, I'm just one guy with a ping list, and Dewhurst is my target. I intend to do oppo research, put information out there, and push for a conservative replacement for him. That may be Jerry Patterson.
