Barack Obama Runs On Empty And Toward Defeat
Investor's Business Daily ^ | August 3, 2012 | Douglas MacKinnon

Posted on 08/03/2012 4:41:19 PM PDT by Zakeet

The social experiment that was Barack Obama's election and presidency is over. Way over.

As one who was born in the heart of Boston and worked the political world of Washington for 20 years, I know quite a few Democrats. Some are family, and many are close friends. Most voted for Obama in 2008. None at this point is inclined to vote for him in 2012.

Why? Because they view him as an abject failure across the board and have decided to put the welfare of their families and themselves before the empty rhetoric of the Obama campaign before it's too late.

Because of my time in Washington and past positions there, I also know and am friends with quite a few journalists. I speak with many on a regular basis, and it's safe to say that the majority of them lean left politically.

That said, in off-the-record conversations with my left-leaning journalistic friends, not one believes Obama is going to win re-election. Not one. While most believe Mitt Romney to be a weak candidate, they are still convinced that he will comfortably defeat Obama on Nov. 6.

These liberal and jaded journalists privately admit that Obama has been exposed for what he is: an overhyped, self-invented candidate with no real-world experience who has been frozen into inaction by the enormity of the office he holds.

Obama has no domestic policy to speak of. He has no foreign policy to speak of. He has no jobs program to speak of. His signature health care plan is driving doctors out of the field, crippling small businesses and putting thousands of Americans out of work.

The Obama of 2012 has nothing positive to run on. Nothing. And guess what? He, more than anyone else in his White House or campaign, knows it.

My favorite part:

No doubt he realizes that the Republicans are intent on running a minority candidate who has at most 8% critical backing from rank and file Republicans.

Unbelievably we are running our weakest possible candidate against this guy ~ and he probably thinks he may win.

Which leaves me in fear that Obama and the democrats my have something in the works to suspend the November elections.

Exposed. Not by them. Could have saved a hell of a lot of trouble if they’d done their job. The worst is probably yet to come.

Obama’s Electoral vote total could rival McCain’s of 2008. That would be a kick in the teeth for The One.

I fail to see how it will be this easy. I think Romney has a ton of work ahead of him and is swimming upstream against a very strong current. Right now I don’t see enough life out of Romney... he needs to step it up and also pick a solid VP to run with.

That's because our heavy weights--Ryan, McDonnell, De Mint, etc.--wouldn't run.

Obama 2012 will come nowhere close to McCain's 2008 total.

He will get the electoral licking he deserves.

Al due respect, this is diversionary. We cannot drop our continued guard. I effin' hate Romney but not as much as I want to see this country go New World Order...give me a chance to fight Romney versus fighting George Soros and his ilk...

But they are sly...put it out there that Romney is a sure thing, like a USSC squash of Obamacare...lull them into defeat.

Stay vigilant all!!!! Don;t buy in to the BS. Everyone voters...everyone get's their neighbors to register an vote.

I read a lot of this clap-trap pie in the sky idiocy about Hussein before the 2008 elections.

We conservatives need to stop this idiotic wishful thinking an\d WORK, We need to realize most of America does not think like we do. Hussein’s EV total to rival McCain’s? Seriously? He has about 241 EVs LOCKED up. The GOP & Rove’s group are not advertising in PA because Romney is so far behind.

This analysis is based on some liberal journalists, anon and behind the scenes??? On what planet is this?

We have to stop this. We have to work. We have to accept certain facts. But hey, believe what you will and Rove and the GOP elites will continue to take advantage of us.

It’s one thing to wish Hussein and the RATs vanish into that good night. Heaven knows I wish it too. But to turn wishes into fact is utterly absurd.

How can Romney be "our weakest possible candidate" when he actually won the primary contest?

Is he not stronger -- by definition -- than Santorum, Gingrich, Bachmann, Pawlenty, Perry, Cain, et al.

Who would've been our "strongest" candidate?

No wonder Obama runs on empty. I saw him one time trying to put gas in the tailpipe. Obama is dumber than donuts.

I hear ya.

We ran Dole against the known likes of Clinton and he couldn’t beat him with a mile head start.

We ran Bush against the likes of Gore, and he barely slid by that inept bottom feeding fool.

We ran an INCUMBENT Bush against the perjured war liar and NVC favorite Kerry, and once again, he barely slid by.

We ran McCain against Obama, and the least qualified presidential candidate in the History of the United States, actually beat him.

Now here we are with the likes of Romney, and you have to ask yourself, what is it with the RNC?

Are they not noticing what luke warm bukets of horse sweat are garnering us at the polls? Do they not care. Can they not see how corrupt this process has become? Are they content to lose to people like Obama and Clinton, and take too big of chances losing to people like Gore and Kerry? In a word, YES!!!

What the hell is going on here?

We’re talking twenty years worth of general elections here, and our supposed leadership hasn’t learned a damned thing. To top if off, we find our rank and file convinced someone without a clue and no background that could reasonably make them qualified to be president, to be our hottest prospect.

The RNC should start a “Hit yourself in the head with this shovel”, “break your own leg with hammer”, and “stab yourself with this old rusty railroad spike” concession. They’d make s killing.

Why are we putting up with this?

If these were the actions of our spouses, we’d have the grounds to be on our sixth marriage by now.

I still don’t think he cares.... he is in this for the money like the Clintons are. They have no talent, never had a real job. They want the stardom and money....never cared a lick for the office or job.

I’d love for someone to audit him, and his campaign accounts.

In the day when we had only seen the likes of Clinton and his crime family, we felt the same way. At least I did.

I was unconvinced he would leave the White House without a gun at his head. No..., literally! I had visions of him hiding in closet in the back of the President’s quarters with Hillary, chanting, “No, no, we won’t go...” and chain burning one by one their little U. S. campaign flags.”

He did leave. I was very relieved to see it.
