Chick-fil-A flap reveals true gay agenda
Washington Times ^ | 8/3/2012 | Jeffrey T. Kuhner

Posted on 08/04/2012 3:40:28 AM PDT by markomalley

The homosexual lobby wants to outlaw Christianity. This is the real meaning behind the uproar over Chick-fil-A. The chicken sandwich franchise has become a lightning rod for the culture war. Liberals despise it; conservatives back it. Supporters of gay marriage want to prevent the Atlanta-based chain from expanding, demanding new restaurant permits be denied.

The reason: Its CEO Dan Cathy opposes same-sex marriage. In an interview with the Baptist Press, Mr. Cathy was asked his views on the issue. He said that he supports the “biblical definition of the family unit.” Meaning — horror of all horrors — that Mr. Cathy believes marriage should be between a man and a woman. That such a common-sense view could be controversial in today’s America shows how far society has fallen.

Anti-Christian activists immediately called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel publicly vilified the chain. He claimed that Chick-fil-A does not share “Chicago values.” Mr. Emanuel said the restaurant was not welcome in the Windy City. Yet, he warmly embraced Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. According to Mr. Emanuel, a Christian family man expressing his private opinion defending traditional marriage is an extremist, while a radical black nationalist and vile anti-Semite is acceptable.

(snip)

The left’s goal is to reduce Christians to permanent second-class citizens. Now they are coming for our freedom of speech. This is Christophobia — the dominant bigotry of our time. Christians unite, before it’s too late.

They stepped in it, all of them! This is all about elected officials using the power and thier office to dictate policy as they seem fit. This is all about freedom of speech not gay rights. Would anyone of these cowards stand up to a muslim business who feels the same way? Would they pull the same nonsense with a gay business wanting to open in a heterosexual neighborhood? Political scum searching for votes and the scumedia promoting this as intolerance only when it works to thier advantage.

Well, God did say that Christians are to be the salt of the world and what does salt do? It stings and burns.

The owner of Chik-fil-A is obeying God by standing by Scripture and refusing to back down or compromise on the Word of God. Of course Satan is going to target him and try to shut him down and destroy him.

Who knows how many people have come to Christ because of this man's courage? The god of this age isn't just going to sit idly by and allow that to happen.

AFAIK, Mr. Cathy never said he wouldn’t sell a sandwich to a starving queer, did he?

The left can "try" to squash Christianity but it will never happen. It hasn't been able to happen for two thousand years! The culture is won by Christianity because Free Will is one of the most inviolable tenants of the religion. You can't logically or emotionally argue against this fact.

The MSM is starting to feel the effects a rude awakening because reality trumps their faux perceptions. The left can try to force all these anti-American socialistic ideas, but they will not truly take over a free people.

Every elected official and passive ‘supporter of the entire homosexual ‘rights’ movement should be made to publicly watch gay porn.

I’m serious as I can be. In fact, EVERYONE should just to better understand what it is that has taken over this country. The sex is what it’s about. Take away the sex and what remains? Two REALLY good friends. At best.

So as long as people refuse to really think and UNDERSTAND what ‘homosexuality’ is all about, there’s little hope to put it back in the closet. As long as the homos can keep people from thinking about the sex and keep them fixated on funny ‘TV gays’, they will win eventually.

To achieve control of a free people, one must undermine three things: 1) the family, 2) the church, and 3) private property. If you destroy those three things, people are left only with the state. The Soviets knew this and launched campaigns in America and elsewhere on all three of those fronts. The American Founders knew this and declared that the U.S. Constitution is a document sufficient to govern only a moral people (referring of course to the Judeo-Christian morality of our heritage). No document is sufficient to govern an immoral people - only a tyrant can do that. The French learned this painful lesson after their amoral, atheistic revolution turned in on itself in the 1780s.

This is the danger of so-called "fiscal conservatism" that thinks we can disengage on issues of morality. That road leads to the guillotine.

Did anyone else notice how nobody asked President Obama about the Chick Fil-A controversey and where he stands?

On another note, it is unfortunate that there are too many who see this a their generations’ civil rights issue.

In other words, Mr. Cathy’s sin — Chick-fil-A’s sin — is that he is a Christian traditionalist in an increasingly pagan country.

Can I have an 'Amen' ?

Solution-—elect conservative Christians en masse to all offices of the government nationwide. Then the godless leftists cannot institute what they cannot start—at least legislatively.

Moronic. Keeping social issues out of the hands of the federal government government is NOT "the road to the guillotine. We've done pretty well for over 200 years without having psychotic "progressives" or equally oppressive social conservatives telling us how to view certain aspects of our lives. Keep government small, leave the social conversations for family and church and civic events and cultural influences, and let SOCIETY determine our culture, NOT power-craving corrupt idiots who give not one whit of concern to our future as a civilization. Budget debates have no need for social inputs. Allowing them just leads to unneeded grandstanding.

GAYS...”demanding new restaurant permits be denied.”

On what grounds? This guy is entitled to his opinion and beliefs. It’s his business that he built. (Despite the comments of Commissar Obama)

When Hollywood actors speak their minds - we all suppose to continue to go their movies and not boycott them. What’s the difference?

Well - it’s plain to see. Liberals can do whatever they want and hold the rest of us accountable - but as soon as we express our own beliefs like they do - we are not tolerated.

Proves that the liberal mindset is dysfunctional.

Good post!

Simply astounding how modern, godless mankind has no fear of God’s wrath for arrogantly promoting wickedness.

There needs to be a total boycott of every news channel in the US.

I’m not saying log onto websites and other outside news agencies to stay informed.

But the US Media needs to be put in their place. They think they are above and beyond the rest of us - every woman on there has bleached blonde hair except for a few - and they are always flanked by two males on the side - where the woman is center front with some short dress on and tanned legs...that’s not news - it’s Entertainment Tonight!

I can’t stand to watch it - even FOX - It takes [forever] for them to get to a story and actually inform me. It’s far easier for me to get on News Now and other News websites around the globe and see what’s going on - what news stories the US MSM isn’t covering — and I’m better prepared than they are...

Oh - and FREE REPUBLIC — this is a mainstay in my daily political information venue!

You got the second half of that dead wrong. Our Culture DID hew to the Judeo/Christian view of morality for most of the history of this nation. Calling someone moronic will not change that.
