Posted on 08/04/2012 7:11:52 AM PDT by Paladin2
Former Vante CFO Adam Smith struck a nerve when he put up a video of himself bullying a worker at the Chick-fil-A drive-thru window.
There was widespread criticism, and he was promptly fired from his position at Vante for how he acted.
Now, Smith has taken to YouTube again, posting a nearly eight minute video in which he apologizes and clarifies some questions that have been floating around......

Yeah, I know. What’s to explain, the guy was being an ass. Don’t go off on the girl at the window.
A picture is worth a thousand words....
Or at least don't post video of the episode on the internet.
If you dig yourself into a hole so deep you can’t climb out, it’s strongly advised that you stop digging.
Mr. Adams obviously hasn’t learned that lesson get.
These dumb commies think the WHOLE world is stupid!
EVERYBODY who watched his video could SEE “what happened”.
He decided to go to Chick Fil-A and cause trouble by berating a server and then BRAG about it to the world via You Tube.
End of story. Oh...except that his boss canned his behind for being a hateful slug... boo hoo...
I won’t watch anything that POS has to say. He also harassed a man carrying a cross. Smith had scrubbed that video as well, but if you google it, you can find it. He’s a pig.
He’s evidently hot on the trail of his next job . . . stand-in for Shep Smith?
True, but I hope we keep track of what job he goes to next, like some leftist think tank or sinecure.
My suggestion: Chick-fil-A window server. ;)
The ONLY firm that would hire him would be one that reflected his views and shared his hatred for Christians. We will see him again if the election goes Obama’s way.
As a homosexual he has no self control. ‘nuff said.
which I will not waste any of my life watching. The guy is a LOSER. Who gives a rat's ass what drivel comes out of his mouth.
LOL.....for infinity.....in the afterlife.....
If Vante had any sense they would be offering that girl a better job. Full or part time, her choice.
It would make for some great PR.
Then he can have her present job.
Rachel has become the focus of attention of a guy who easily flies off the handle. She needs to find a way to make him keep his distance.
No explanation needed.
The arrogant narcissist got what he deserved. He thought he would be so funny, impressing all of his hateful pro-gay-marriage friends. He treated an innocent stranger in a despicable manner.
Unfortunately for him, his job, teaching position, charity work, resume, and personal information had all been posted BY HIM on the internet. He upset tens of thousands of people with his behavior, and people are getting sick of this kind of crap from the left, so they voiced their disapproval.
He lost his job. He won’t get his teaching contract renewed. He probably lost his position with the business association. Good. He learned a valuable lesson.
In the bigger picture, I hope that others who would do what he did will think twice.
If I was this idiot’s wife, he would be wifeless and the locks would be changed before he ever got home after posting that piece of crap and putting his entire family in danger.
He’s dressed up.
He’s wearing very expensive trendy glasses.
He’s pro gay-marriage.
He’s in very good shape.
He works with a CYCLING charity.
He has 4 kids, adopted, 2 of which are “special needs”
He refers to being married, but not to a “wife”
Does anyone know who he is married to, whether or not it is a man or a woman? I would not be surprised at all if he is married to a man.
You are right, leave the girl out of it. It was a violation of her privacy, never mind the ridiculous verbal assault, by a narcissistic A-HOLE! Putting himself on youtube, believing he would be lauded by the intelligent powers that be. What an ego-testical Dunce!
“...silent treatment.” It’s still all about him. The young woman placed a barrier between herself and a noxious influence Next step, if necessary, is a restraining order.
He’s suddenly apologetic since he has no anonymity. Can such an individual be respected? There are a good number of FReepers who have unfortunate financial, legal, personal and political situations. Do they behave badly in public and post to Youtube?
Is UofA retaining him as adjunct faculty? Would anyone accept the “expertise” of an obviously unstable individual?
It seems though, he must keep yammering, so I decided to see both videos.
Rachel darlin, if I was younger ....
Now the asshole said he had a young family ... I concur it is with Steve and Steve's child he stole from his wife after she found out Steve was a faggot.
And Steve will now leave Adam 'cause Adam ain't got no money and Adam's a sociol pariah ...
So happy ... so ... gay ...
Adam Smith may have a masters degree but he doesn't seem to be too smart or much of a forward thinker.
A man with his education should know better than to mess with people who prepare your food out of your sight.
Now every fast-food joint and restaurant worker in Tucson knows who he is and what he did to one of theirs.
You can bet that many of them will include a secret present for him with future food orders.
"Oh honey! Look! They gave you extra cheese."
Actually, I was thinking that Chick-Fil-A ought to offer this guy a job (certainly not CFO stuff), and demonstrate some Christian behavior that folks haven’t seen in a long time....the fine art of forgiveness. The media would clamp down on the entire episode within forty-eight hours, and never mention Chick-Fil-A again.
He was given a valuable lesson, I seriously doubt he’s learned anything. That goes for all the others who share this creature’s malignant ideology.
It’s a nice idea, but I’m very much aware that, in general, businesses really worry about disgruntled employees.
They can make a LOT of trouble.
Lew, in Kansas
“explains what happened that day”
Yeah, we’re too stupid to understand so we need an explanation.
We’ve heard this patronizing song-and-dance before from Barry.
Interesting comments at end of article. Someone even said that his denial of him being gay is false as Brietbart had a screen capture of his FB page saying he was interested in men? Not sure if there is a story there but wonder if this is all part of something else? Someone might want to dig into that if they are looking for an angle on this story. M2C.
Claiming an amnesia defense a la James Holmes (aka The Joker)?
I won’t be watching the apology video, but did he apologize to the group of people waiting for the movie? He tried to drag them into his sordid dealings.
I liked this one:
"....... Smith is talking himself into the bigger hole of being completely unemployable. (Unless Doofus-Ranter is a job category.) "
He said in the video that he didn’t have a gay in him. Maybe not but I’m thinking he’s seen one up close.
I can’t believe he went back a second time to confront that girl again. The guy is unhinged, out of control, and needs a restraining order against him.
I tried to watch his video of the so called apology...I lasted about twenty sconds and when I saw the thing was going to go on for another SEVEN MINUTES I hit cancel. The man is an a#$ wipe
He said so himself.
Over and over and over and...
One of life’s most valuable lessons: the time to think about the consequences of a decision is BEFORE you’ve made the decision.
So this guy claims he is not gay and has a young family, kinda like Obama....
Appears to me he is a self centered egotistical a$$, kinda like Obama.
Liberalism IS a mental disorder.
That pic is perfect. LOL. Thanks
He went back after his first confrontation? For what? Did he try to confront her again? If I were her, I would look into a restraining order, in case public reaction to his actions is escalating his lunacy.
That was no apology. And apology would have lasted 30 seconds, tops, and he would have taken full responsibility for his actions. And maybe an additional 15 seconds to apologize for the shame he brought to his family and employer.
It was a screed trying to justify his unjustifiable actions.
She actually asked him to stop video taping her, because he was making her uncomfortable. But he continued with his rant at her. Harris Faulkner, on "Red Eye," said that this might be civilly actionable for harassment.
She was polite and composed throughout his attack, but she did tell him that he made her uncomfortable by videotaping her.
