If you're moving to the Pokey area, have an occupation in mind. Make sure you can support yourself. Jobs are scarce (that's why I've had to support my family for the last 3 years working in San Diego). The tax base is small (small population), so the welcome mat isn't out for welfare. Even the "homeless" know to leave town by September 1st when the temperatures outside become inhospitable. We don't run homeless shelters...it just encourages the practice.
