Anti-bullying educational campaign to be launched

Parents are urged to teach their kids to speak up if they witness school bullying in new ads targeting an issue that top Obama administration officials vow to make a national priority.

A long-term campaign featuring television, print and Web ads was unveiled Monday and will start running in October. The campaign is a joint effort by the Ad Council, a nonprofit group that distributes public service announcements, and the Free to Be Foundation, a group that includes entertainers Marlo Thomas, Alan Alda and Mel Brooks.

In one television ad, two girls are seen bullying a schoolmate, mocking her appearance and telling her that nobody likes her. A fourth girl looks on but doesn’t intervene.

“Every day, kids witness bullying,” says a narrator. “They want to help, but don’t know how. Teach your kids how to be more than a bystander.”

Online and print ads will warn parents that their kids regularly encounter negative messages such as “You’re worthless” and “Everybody hates you.”

Fine if encouraging kids to treat each other with consideration is really the goal, and not promoting homosexuality.

It would be nice if the “Ad Council” would aim some of their goofyass ads at the homofascists in the militant homosexual community. Their bullying horse**** is getting really old. Americans have just about had enough of those sexually disoriented jackasses.

It's not the goal. The goal is progressivism through teaching political correctness, group think, and "feelings".

So, this is in response to the disgusting bullying tactics used by the Liberal Left, and the 'gay' community, right?

Have you heard the Ad Council’s promo for the hotline to deal with kids stressed out by oil spills? Now there’s a worthy use of our tax dollars.

Brainwash then reprogram future progressives.

I’m all for teaching children to respect eachother, but I think many young parents need to learn how to be parents to their children, not friends. Discipline.

I know a woman whose cheerleader daughter can do no wrong. Spoiled, arrogant and loudmouthed. The mother joins the daughter in mocking and berating other children. We no longer speak to eachother. Parents are the problem.

Those “ad council” ads drive me insane. Apparently, their target audience is morons. IMHO, they are a liberal jab at the intelligence of the American people. The commie libs think that the American people are all a bunch of fools.

Eventually with the state’s help, those being bullied will become the bullies.

Bullying use to be stopped with a punch in the mouth and a handshake.

Ad Council = your tax dollars at work. Pretty sure all the Ad Council does is spend tax dollars.

What if the bully— is the public school student advisers telling boys and girls to “try it”the homosexual lifestyle and decide for themselves -all as a prosecution of national public school policy? What if the bully is school administrator who refuses to recognize a student led group because they are Christians? Or a Music teacher who requires the choir to sing Muslim praises. .. because it sounds really neat? Need I continue?

It is NOT fine, because the entire thrust, if you will, is to criminalize the natural law understanding of homosexuality and its practice, including Jewish and Christian moral teaching thereon.

Bullying is the law’s sole purpose.
