As the boss said yesterday on Fox News, “If you look at Governor Romney’s schedule, he’s got events in Illinois Tuesday, Iowa Wednesday, a fundraising breakfast Thursday morning in New York – his calendar then is clear, so far as I can tell, Thursday afternoon and Friday

“So what do you recommend; we sit around and play checkers on election day?”

You would do less harm to conservatism and the country to do so than to vote for Romney.

However, WHAT you should be doing on election day is to vote for conservative House and Senate candidates at the federal level, and conservatives at the state level. It wouldn’t hurt to vote third party on the POTUS issue to deny the winner a clear win. It would be nice if neither Obama or Romney got more than 40% of the vote.

“Ohhh you told........ how juvenile of you”

You are the one behaving as a child. Jim Robinson has been clear about his positions. You wouldn’t dare attack him. However, I take the same position and you cowardly attack me. Plus, you use abbreviated profanity against me. Like I said, if you believe so strongly in what you wrote, then say the same thing to Jim Robinson. Otherwise, accept that you are a bully and coward and shut up.

FR is not supposed to be a Pro-Romney forum. Romney does not represent any of the things that JR has said FR is all about.

“Sarah Palin could become the Ralph Nader of the Tea Party come 2016”

Sarah wouldn’t take part in that scenario.

On that we agree, I will volunteer for those folks. And on the more local levels such as city council members.
That's where the rubber meets the road; or where the nonsense can be checked.

But if we get a conservative House and Senate elected; why would we not have (cough cough I hate to say his name) the Republican candidate in the White House vs the current occupant?
There is no other choice this year.

The R candidate can at least be pressured to do some positive things.
If the current candidate is reelected; he will behave like a dangerous wounded animal; lashing out in full Marxist mode.

Not sure about your comment, but as honorable as the general is, he doesn’t do anything to help Romney. A big chunk of the voting base will look at the general and one word will come to mind...........”WAR”. For better or worse, alot of the American public is weary of the wars, and it’s part of the reason why the GOP got it’s ass kicked in 2006 and 2008.

I firmly believe Palin holds within her grasp to completely destroy the GOP and send them the way of the Whigs if she chose to do so.

And I wish she would.

“But if we get a conservative House and Senate elected; why would we not have (cough cough I hate to say his name) the Republican candidate in the White House vs the current occupant?”

Because a conservative congress will stay united in their opposition to Obama. However, IF Romney moves leftward, and he will, conservative GOP members will be pressured to NOT oppose him because of party loyalty. Many (enough anyway) will NOT oppose Romney’s leftward trends....making him actually more dangerous than an Obama vigorously opposed and held in check.

Plus, Romney’s election will cost us congressional seat in 2014 while not giving conservatives what they want. We are better punting on this POTUS race and start NOW to get a good candidate elected in 2016. This fall and again in 2014, we should focus ALL our efforts on getting conservative control of House and Senate...and control of state legislatures. This will set us up for a strong conservative to take the POTUS position in 2016 and make some REAL and LASTING changes.

We won’t get squat from Romney being POTUS except that Obama won’t be POTUS. That is a short term relief with long term disasterous results.

I don’t like Christie much, but it would be fun to see him kick ass — especially Biden’s ass. I love how he isn’t particularly PC.

Sarah wouldn’t take part in that scenario.

If Sarah doesn't some Tea Party will indeed primary and / or run against Romney in 2016 if he decides to run this nation as the liberal he's suspected of being.

You make it sound like it would not be an honorable conservative thing to do.

What's your definition of a maverick?

“You make it sound like it would not be an honorable conservative thing to do.”

Great day! Do you always try and read something into what others say? Why on earth would you do that, just to take offense and cause argument? Is that an honorable conservative thing to do? Sheesh.

“What’s your definition of a maverick?”

Honestly? I’ve never really given it any thought at all and I’m wondering why you’re asking me. I feel as though I should be very careful with you. Is this sort of like a secret handshake thing that only conservatives would know - is there a “correct” answer? Please tell me, thanks.
