CNN Poll: Obama holds 7-point lead over Romney (Mega-Barf)

Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney's unfavorable rating is up, most Americans think the Republican presidential challenger favors the rich, and the public no longer believes that the economy will get better if Romney is elected, according to a new national poll.

But a CNN/ORC International survey released Thursday also indicates that Romney's supporters are increasingly getting behind the presumptive GOP nominee.

It all adds up to a seven point advantage for President Barack Obama over the former Massachusetts governor, with 52% of registered voters questioned in the survey saying that they'd vote to re-elect the president and 45% backing Romney.

"Among independent voters, the poll indicates President Obama has a 53%-42% lead," CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said. "The president holds a nine point advantage among women voters and a smaller six point edge among men."

I for one make up my own mind.
Yeah, just like all the other smug, self-righteous morons. You guys are just ooooh-soooo special.
If you don't stand up for something, you'll fall for ... CNN polls. I pity you.

Why don’t you hold your breath and stomp your feet? That would be more intelligent than making your stupid comments.

Stupid comments? Stupid comments would be something that I would say if I was not serious. Obviously you love Romney too. Kiss his feet when you see him.

Guess that’s what happens after an ad blitz and your spokesperson’s only response is “Romneycare!”

We’re doomed. Romney is running just like McCain.

We’re doomed. Romney is running just like McCain.

People with zero principles really have nothing to say. He can’t really complain about gay marriage, abortion, Obamacare since he has the same beliefs as Obama. I guess he could talk up the Salt Lake Olympics. Anyway, it is amazing how many people complain about the patriots who tell the truth about Romney. Very telling and why America is in the toilet.

Good Grief! You are stupider than I thought. It isn’t obvious at all that I love Romney. Romney was my last choice among the contenders. But nothing is more obvious than that he is going to be the nominee.

Since it comes down to a contest between Romney and Obama, I will support Romney. Anyone that doesn’t is helping Obama. Only a moron can’t see that.

Romney is running just like McCain..

Basically true so far, but Obama has a 4 year record of fail attached to him now.

I know it's tough to swim upstream against a tsunami of MSM support, but I don't see Baraq as a lock by any means.

One example is here in Indiana where Obama pulled out a thin margin in 08 and will likely lose by 10 points this year.

I can surmise that CNN sees their collective days at an end and lacking any grace......go out in their own lack of style.

I remember the day before the 1980 election, the media was saying the race was “too close to call.”

I lived in California at the time, and the networks called the race for Reagan in the afternoon Pacific time, before I even got a chance to go and cast my vote. I showed up at the polls with a big smile on my face. One of the women running the polling place was pissed at the networks for calling the race before the polls closed. Carter conceded early.

It was Reagan 489 Electoral College votes, 49 for Carter.

I almost did cartwheels in the street.

How heavy is a 7 point lead? We're talking about a nautical lead casting suspended on a line to determine the depth of water right?

This poll is a minimum of +6 dems.

You nailed it. CNN is too gutless to give the internals because they know that showing the internals exposes their transparent statistical manipulation but this stat from the story indicates a minimum of +6 Democrat over sample Control of Congress is also up for grabs in November. According to the survey, 45% say the country would be better off if Congress were controlled by Democrats, with 39% saying things would be better if the GOP ran Capitol Hill.

The CNN poll was conducted by ORC International Tuesday and Wednesday (August 7-8), with 1,010 adults nationwide, including 911 registered voters, questioned by telephone. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus three percentage points.

“One thing I have to grudgingly give to the dems... they are masters at perpetuating lies about their opponents.”

Our side needs to do the same:

“New poll: Most Americans now believe Obama not honest about his past”

“A majority now believe that Obama not qualified to hold Presidency”

“Majority blame Obama for failed economic policies.”

“American disappointed in race relations. Believe Obama administration has heightened racial tensions”

“Trust in Justice Department now at all time low”

I have mentally moved past this election. I will vote but not for Romney or Hussein, will vote for conservatives down the ballot, however, I now concentrate on “Prepare” for whatever may happen in the future and I don’t know if that is near future or further away in time. The election will be what it is but I no longer give it much credence one way or another.
