We have a problem. Unfortunately the problem seems to be with you and your campaign. Your opponent—despite his now-proven illegal status to even occupy OUR White House—is the sitting president of the United States.
This, of course, gives him almost unlimited resources to squash and destroy—by whatever means necessary—his opponents. As the Obama syndicate could find virtually nothing legitimate with which to destroy you (as he has done to every other opponent against whom he has ever run), his campaign has eagerly chosen to move the their first choice of attack—lies, lies and more lies.
Most precariously, in response to the arguably most despicable and false campaign AD in US history—that of actually calling you a murderer—your campaign leaders had virtually nothing to say except to bring up the health care program when you were Governor of Massachusetts...

The dirty fighting won’t come from the official Romney campaign, but trust me it will come.
You want Mitt to start fighting? Point him at a Conservative, and ol’ Mitt will come out swinging.
Really - Romney has spent years and million$ of his own to get to this point and it’s his only chance...so if doesn’t come out from the convention swinging then he just really doesn’t want it enough...Mr. Nice Guy needs to stay home...

I think Romney’s ok so far.
It’s very early, he has not even been nominated nor picked a VP. Everyone is focused on other things.
Once the campaign starts for real Romney will have to become more assertive. Even so, to start with he needn’t get too concerned about things.

I agree with the comments that he will not start fighting.
Just remember this - the worthless, stinking slug in our White House has the ultimate weapon - the “media”. They are the only effective water carriers in this “campaign”. Propaganda works, re Adolph Hitler.

Mitt doesn’t have the money to mount an effective attack right now.
Candidates are limited by law as to how much they can spend during the “Primary Season” before they are nominated.
After the nomination the restriction is lifted.
Romney spent most of his “Prinmary” money campaigning against others in the primary elections.
Obama didn’t have any challangers so he has a lot more money than Mitt right now.
After the RNC Convention Mitt will come out swinging.
