Fine.. but how about talking about his expertise instead of his lunches, his favorite movies, his youth. . . .
I've learned a lot from Savage from way back in the 1990s when he used to that health stuff.
I'd request that he expand beyond health and talk about just what are we.. 10 trillion cells, 500+ different types. I've read. Dr. Savage is the scientist. Why not? He drifts into C2C (d'oh!) stuff every now and then. This is science.

They turned away hundreds this morning at Romney event just south of me. I think it’s going to be a tough road to hoe for Obama Biden.

Levin covers politics and “ stuff “ every day , 5 days a week for 3 hours a day . Levin’s audience is almost equal to Savage’s now . Apparently he doesn’t want to compete with Levin covering politics only . Recently , I don’t think Savage does much if any show prep . He shows up 3 times a week and doesn’t do a 3 hour live program . Realize he is 70 , but that’s no excuse for lousy show prep and the inane topics ( mainly about himself ) that he talks about sometimes . I’ll still listen on days when he shows up ( for now anyway ) , but I’m sure I speak for many when I say I am tired of tuning in only to hear “This is an encore ...” , or “ This is ( fill in name ) “ ...

It definitely impacts his affiliates. They probably lose many listeners when he is absent.
Several of the radio stations I used to listen to him on have dropped him for Mark Levin.
Savage is losing stations.
Maybe he doesn’t really care. Sometimes he seems more interested in writing novels.
No matter. I can easily click and load an alternative radio feed. I love the Internet!

I am sure that you recall that he has mentioned the connection. I agree that it would be beneficial to us all to understand that there is a connection to what we consume and who we are..
I am fascinated by biochemistry I think it's called. It's like we are one extremely complicated computer system..
gigabytes of muscle cells expanding and contracting together each using the energy that each obtained from the oxygen I breathe and the food I ate. So it's not me it's those muscle cells coordinating with hundreds of billions of all types of other cells that's reaching for that beer.
The 10 trillion cells are going lickety-split 24/7 solely depended upon what I consume and that's all that I am.
I think if Savage polled his audience he would discover that a majority of them DO want to hear his take on the current news & politics . The country is falling apart and he talks about the hamburger he fed his dog for dinner . Every time he asks “ So , what do you wanna talk about “ , I cringe .

The worst thing Savage does is his obvious “paid time” segments with decent people from think tanks or WND talking about whatever they pay to talk about, with Savage saying “interesting”, “really?”, or “what else should we know?” every few minutes. Unbearably dumb. I wonder how much he gets paid for those?

I’m completely addicted to Doc Savage. I’m hoping he’s just taking extra time off in the summer - he’s always talking about how nice it is in SanFran in summertime.
Also, he said something about doing a live stage show, maybe he’s prepping - he knows he’s getting an axe.
Clear Channel bought local radio stations in my area and fired everyone - Jay Severin, Mark Levin, Rush who got another station to pick him up.
Scary.

Weiner “savaged” the Ryan pick. This brings up the question of whether Weiner has two heads because it is hard to imagine anyone could cram that much stupid in one head.
As a long time listener and supporter of Savage, I have a few bones to pick with the good doc. First off, his website sucks. We are adults. A picture accompanying every story isn’t needed. Okay got that off my chest. Number two: Savage tries so damned hard to be the quinessential contrarian that he takes stupid positions just to be an “outsider”, his opinion on Ryan is a perfect example. Anyone with a brain knows it was a good pick and will serve to pull in a lot of fence sitters and undecideds. Even the libs are scared as evidenced by their relentless salvo over the weekend, but Savage seems to think he knows better and is above the fray. No Mike, you’re just plain wrong on this one. I listened to some Rush this morning, and he makes no brilliant insights other than stating the obvious and then chortling about it, and everyday his statements are plastered all over this forum like he’s the Oracle at Delphi. C’mon Mike, snap out of the malaise and get back to some hard hitting shows. Not the silliness, advice crap, nostalgia, fill-ins, or memorex, but the meat and potatoes commentary most of us tune in for.

I would just emphasize what I said above about someone with the science training and IQ of Savage.. for example, what does he think about how everything reduces to electromagnetic waves. I have heard physicists talk about this but what does it mean for Joe and Jane Sixpack once we all understand?
IOW, I do not give a damn about what Savage and Teddy had for lunch. He can instead "take a break" with something substantive and still not have to go out of his way to prepare.
How about the health benefits of turmeric? Savage used to tell us about things like silymarin (milk thistle) -- and as Savage explained he was not talking about Marin County across the Golden Gate Bridge from S.F. where most of the Bay Area's wealthy and silly liberals live. And though I first heard of antioxidants from G. Gordon Liddy, Savage explained them. Thanks to Savage I am in my 70s and don't look a day over.
I bought his book "Herbs That Heal: Prescription for Herbal Healing" years ago.
I am not anything close to a physicist as anyone can tell but I have to wonder about the interest in a Higgs boson as "the means by which elementary particles [quanta] acquire mass."
Obviously I cannot debate the science, however. Thanks for the additional information.
Savage's knowledge of nutrition has been extremely useful for me. I found it much easier to locate stuff on the 'Net with that knowledge.

OT on religion is interesting -- for me this is religion, my faith is that we are our Creator's "video game" and can no more understand the Creator than characters created by human programmers can understand humans.
Michio Kaku is a crank with an agenda. I’d rather probe my brain with a bbq fork than listen to Science Fantastic or him as a guest on c2c. I’m sure he knows his theoretical stuff, being a tenured physics professor, but he’s still a crank.
